I bought Sin After Sin and Sad Wings on the same day two years ago. That was a good day. Both are great, though Sad Wings is quite a bit stronger than SAS.

Deth 08-06-2006 02:31 PM

I'd agree with that. Can't beat the one two combo of Victim of Changes and The Ripper.

pate 08-06-2006 02:34 PM

Damn. I totally forgot to put The Ripper in my top 3 songs list.

Deth 08-06-2006 02:40 PM

I forgot to do one completely.

The Sentinel
Metal Gods
Jawbreaker
Painkiller
One Shot at Glory
Ram it Down
Hard as Iron
Victim of Changes
The Ripper
Electric Eye
Screaming For Vengeance
Starbreaker
Let Us Prey/Call For the Priest
Dissident Aggressor
Exciter
Beyond the Realms of Death
Hellrider

I could only manage a top 17 :p.

FatalEnergy 08-06-2006 02:52 PM

A top three from me.

Leather Rebel
Jawbreaker
The Sentinel

It's strang that two of my favorites are on Defenders of the Faith

hellrider 08-26-2006 07:41 AM

YAY! i have finally got my stained class album its a great album what are your views on it also what is sad wings of destiny like

Apocalyptic Raids 08-26-2006 07:48 AM

My top 3:

Painkiller
Electric Eye
The Ripper

My gripe with Sad Wings is the production. The fact that I heard the Unleashed In The East renditions of those songs first didn't help, either.

Riva 08-26-2006 07:52 AM

Top Three:

Hard As Iron
Electric Eye
Exciter/The Sentinel <- Depending on mood

Apocalyptic Raids 08-26-2006 08:07 AM

Since you mentioned Hard As Iron, Jason, you should check out Riot's Thundersteel album. It sounds exactly like Ram It Down, but without the crappy songs!

Riva 08-26-2006 08:11 AM

Send it to me then!

Apocalyptic Raids 08-26-2006 09:00 AM

Thats part of my problem with priest. The majority of their songs sound like they should be on demo tapes to me IMO.
Minus everything off of painkiller.

pate 08-26-2006 04:26 PM

My top 5:
The Ripper
Beyond the Realms of Death
Hell Bent for Leather
A Touch of Evil
Live, acoustic version of Diamonds and Rust

Lunch 08-26-2006 05:17 PM

The Hellion>Electric Eye is such ownage.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-27-2006 10:19 PM

It would be good if you didn't have any Judas Priest, since it pretty much looks to be very large Best-of with a few B-sides and stuff.

Personally I wouldn't want such an extensive best-of, I would rather get the albums, and you can buy that DVD separate now anyway.

AA-12 08-27-2006 10:22 PM

All I have is Unleashed in the East and British Steel. I may pick it up sometime, as I really like Priest but not enough to buy every album.

Off topic for a second, i'm happy you convinced me to download ItRotBR. Reverend Bizarre is extremely good. It took a few listens to really click though.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-27-2006 10:26 PM

Reverend Bizarre is amazing and yeah, stuff like that can take a few listens to click.

Hmm, I guess the box could suit you then. Though I would still recommend you at least get Screaming For Vengeance, Painkiller, Stained Class and maybe Defenders of The Faith in full, though.

Painkiller especially needs to be experienced in it's full form.

Its really only th stuff on british steel that bothers me. For some reason i just think its mixed oddly.

Anywho, is there any site with the meanings to all of priests songs?

hellrider 08-28-2006 06:17 AM

my stained class album finally came a couple of days ago its great :)

-The Frank 10-21-2006 01:09 AM

Any of you priest fans see the trailer for the documentry on halfords band fight?

Apocalyptic Raids 10-21-2006 02:57 AM

great bump \m/

I haven't been listening to much Priest lately :(

-The Frank 10-21-2006 03:03 AM

I've actually been listening to alot of priest lately. Infact i just downloaded AoR two nights ago. Not bad, but i was a little weirded out that they wrote a song about lochness. Or is that about somethign else?

pate 10-21-2006 09:28 AM

I love AoR. I don't understand all the hate for it.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-21-2006 09:36 AM

It has a couple of stinkers (Revolution and Lochness) but has some great songs too.

Deal With The Devil is fucking awesome. It's one of my top Priest tracks.

-The Frank 10-21-2006 09:37 AM

Worth fighting for \m/

I didntt think it was priest on first listen

Hellrider is one of my favorites off the album so far.

pate 10-21-2006 09:43 AM

Worth Fighting For is my favorite song on it. I actually like Lochness a little.
