Listening to Yusef Lateef. Eating (possibly) expired yogurt. Feeling pretty good.

Way to join Zappa and I in the diggin' of Lateefy Vision.

Doesn't it make the life great?

Robert Crumb 08-23-2006 07:24 PM

It does. I planned on listening to a bunch of **** today, but I think I'll just leave it.

BeautifulButterfly453 08-23-2006 07:27 PM

What are you listening too, Eastern Sounds?

Robert Crumb 08-23-2006 07:35 PM

Yeah, probably gonna go to the record store and pick up some more later this week. Any recommendations?

Zappa 08-23-2006 07:50 PM

The Blue Yusef Lateef, and Live at Pep's (both volumes) are great ones.

Robert Crumb 08-23-2006 08:10 PM

I'll keep an eye out for those, thanks Zappa.

My computer messed up so I lost many many many gigs of music and I can't find any good torrent sites that aren't invite only. So basically I've been listening to whatever I can get my hands on. If anybody can help me out, it'd be mucho appreciated. But heres my current diggage:

GWAR- Beyond Hell (Hella good)
Rick Ross - Port Of Miami (Has it's moments of awesomeness, but theres some really blah stuff on it)
Primus - Frizzle Fry (I forgot how amazing an album this is)

Tom Troccoli's Dog

Roadie for Blak Flag and the SST bands. He was a god at guitar and made punk sound like Zappa and AC/DC.

^ I feel sick.

So apart from "Mojo" (which I love) and "We're Not Alone" Peeping Tom is pretty damn crap.

Robert Crumb 08-24-2006 04:42 PM

Scott Walker - Climate of the Hunter

I don't know why Scott Walker fans rate this so low. It's got just about as much schmaltz as his "classics" do. Only difference is it's 80's schmaltz. I guess that's like two-fold any other generation's schmaltz, though. Huh.

Anxious 08-24-2006 04:54 PM

Oww, my ears. Thats a good thing.
