for sure, wasn't really a fan of the mix on id. the one thing i can say about that song is that the mix sounds amazing.

Really? I thought it was one of their most well written songs to date, not to say it's one of their best songs, but the riffage is solid and there's actual transitions.

i dont care about it but its almost like they didn't quite know how to get from the first riff to that breakdown so they were like

"dudes lets just add some wierd atomspheric paino stuff in the background. the drum intro, no one will ever know the difference from that and a real transition."

I like the synth part, it reminds me of the music in PS2 rpgs.

I don't really understand how that part qualifies as a bad transition, in fact I think that's actually one of their least abrupt breakdowns thus far, and I like that they're repeating more parts. That's just me though.

I like the sythns, too.

The song just doesn't make me want to hate mosh and that's what I look to in dxc nowadays.

VOM and Meshuggah are the only two albums, period, that im excited for in 2012, but then again ive been pretty out of the loop the last year musically. The only new music (for me) ive gotten in the last 6 months is Parallax and Johnny Booth

Whitechapel are releasing something this year. Hold out for something from Red Chord and that new Beheading The King.

Looking forward to that new Beheading the King. Ill at least listen to what WC has to put out but im not expecting much from it. They said that that Section 8 song is more of the direction that they are going in. And that song is fucking boring as hell
