i picked up Atheist's Piece of Time today. so damn good, i still like Elements the most

All Atheist is amazing. I love how the transition from fairly straight forward thrash to jazz influenced death metal to progressive jazzy metal (idk what Elements is) sounds so seemless.

not exactly like In Flames or something like that, but they really do, with death growls. I was begging for Incorrigible Bigotry to end, it definitely doesn't suck but it's painfully average. The M-A review that gave it 61% sums up my opinion of it perfectly.

you really need to give Arghoslent another chance, seriously. It's melodic but I hear absolutely no "gothenburg" in it at all. It's more like Intestine Baalism, Chasm kind of melodic. And it slays.

I mean I expect you to be totally against their lyrics and you could even hate them for that but you really have to give the music a better listen.

No, I'm fine with their lyrics tbh. I just happen to be a fan of more of the traditional death metal stuff. I will probably give them another chance. I know I'm going to get flamed for not liking them. Honestly I did give them a good listen, but read the 61% review of it on MA, it sums up my opinion of the album perfectly.

You can definitely dislike Arghoslent I just dont think you went in knowing what to expect and faulted it because of that.
