haha, A whiter shade of pale doesn't really have a history in the thread... if we're still going for that.

BludgeonySteve 11-14-2004 01:36 PM

pfft, l0lz die

Fine, The Allman Brothers- Every song ever made by the allman brothers.

Remember our multiple allman talks?

RockAndRoll 11-14-2004 01:39 PM

what are some of the ones we discussed a long long long time ago?

It's this ****, that'll make me leave this thread.

I chose that because that's all I heard, and I figured all the others just heard that.

Conquistador would be a better choice in my opinion as well. You should check out some of their other stuff though.

BludgeonySteve 11-14-2004 01:46 PM

So is this even going to be a poll or just one big list that will take up about 20 pages in the thread of disucssion?

Badmoon 11-14-2004 01:49 PM

Well, I never meant for their to be a certain number of songs, and it should be kept in the thread.

thickasabrick 11-14-2004 01:51 PM

why don't you guys just make it so everyone who is a fairly regular poster in the Classic Rock thread puts up his/her favourite three songs

kind of like in a movie store where they have the employees favourites.

thickasabrick 11-14-2004 01:52 PM

because there is only like ten people who post in this thread and it would still take forever for us all to all agree on songs.

BludgeonySteve 11-14-2004 01:52 PM

Oh alright. edit-to badmoon

Bob Marley- Jammin' (the chats count too)

Badmoon 11-14-2004 01:53 PM

Cause that's boring.

"Everyone list your favorite songs"

"Okay, now what".

The interesting part of this, is it's The Classic Rock thread Regular's co.mpilation

BludgeonySteve 11-14-2004 01:54 PM

This is boring too. This is just one giant postcount ++ fest.

How about we do this in our next chat or something?

im just wondering how you decide whether someone is a regular or not? and you would have to somehow get them all on together at the same time to do this, do what rock not roll said and do it in a chat.

and i have a question.....for the song Going Up the Country (i think that's what it's called) by Canned Heat, is that the singers actual voice or is he singing falstetto? thats the only song i have heard by them and im confused whether he always sings like that.

Badmoon 11-14-2004 02:04 PM

You don't have to be a regular, but if each of these songs were talked about over time, and if you're not here all the time, you wouldn't have experienced any of them at the time.

lunch998 11-14-2004 02:24 PM

I'd prefer Tales Of Brave Ulysses to White Room.

Oh and Badmoon, I like that episode too, and the one where Homer gets the medical marijuana.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 11-14-2004 02:54 PM

This is going to be impossible :smash:

Anyone there???

Stop ****ing asking that. This is a forum, not a chat room.

Badmoon 11-14-2004 04:01 PM

You know what sucks?

I'll tell ya what sucks!

When an album doesn't live up to it's cover, or when the sound does match up with the cover.

Example: The Grateful Dead - Terrapin Station

The cover is one of the best I've ever saw, and it has a Roots concept. Right? There is a tutle playing a banjo at a railroad station. But the albums songs (other than 2) suck, and the sound is very urban.

I'm mad :(

Yea, but you can always just stare at the cover.

I agree with you, terrapin station has one of the coolest looking covers but the music really isnt that great.

Badmoon 11-14-2004 04:25 PM

^Yeah.

I just listened to Garcia & Grisman's Been All Around This World. Fantastic album.

What do you think is their best album?

Badmoon 11-14-2004 04:34 PM

Hmmm?

I only have Shadey Grove, Pizza Tapes, and now Been All Around This World. Each album offers like 5 great songs. But I couldn't choose between Shadey Grove, and Been All Around This World.

Hopefully I'll get Shadey Grove soon.

Badmoon 11-14-2004 04:42 PM

That has two of my favorite songs.

Sahdey Grove, which is a Folk tune that they make sound like a pirate tune.

And Whiskey In a Jar. They do the best version of thay song.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 11-14-2004 05:28 PM

Badmoon what are some of the best songs from Nuggets?

Badmoon 11-14-2004 05:32 PM

Ahh crap. Well, I haven't listened to it for awhile, but I'll get the box and name some in awhile.
