you've been like telling everyone about pg 717 at least twice per page.lol
ok. I got a question. did cliff actually write some of the solos for the Metallcia songs "pre Justice."? and if he did, what songs?
all the bass solos pre-justice are cliff's work. i don't think he did any guitar solos though (sorry about the double post i had to reply to this) about my great work on pg 717 have you tried it? you will be amazed... btw...are you really carlos santana   |
he writes a lot of the fast solos too (any guitar solo with the song not credited by hammett or mustaine is jaymz' work)...but most people think he can't play them because kirk always plays em. but jaymz is just as good as kirk.
I think kirk is better,'cause all the solos and guitar riffs that kirk writes are MOSTLY awesome. |
totally. maybe the album wouldn't have that horrible nu-metal feel.
i'm ASSUMING your a guitarist... check out the bottom of p717 for metallica guitar tones.
hey thanks man...i keep all that handy..i've been trying to get their sound for quite some time..lol |
hey thanks man...i keep all that handy..i've been trying to get their sound for quite some time..lol
no probs. i'll try to find more as soon as I get new batteries...fuc*ers keep dying on me. 'sup heavy metal kid |
naw...Kirk keeps em all level headed most of the time. they need that. It's a perfect combo they got going. plus Kirk's solo's are really awesome. i wish lars would'nt have objected to the soloing on St Anger..it might have come out better
i'm listening to st anger for the first time. it's full of great riffs i miss you solos :upset: :upset: :upset: |
beware gocaps, you will be disappointed. (shoot me again is the biggest amount of cess-ridden filth you will probably ever encounter from metallica)
|
i'm listening to st anger for the first time. it's full of great riffs
i miss you solos :upset: :upset: :upset:
exactly! i mean that album has some **** good riffs..the idea of each song just didnt' get far enough. I mean you can see the great change from the original work that they showed on SKOM...those songs were terrible and though time and patience they became a lot better, but not good enough yet. that album has great potential they just stopped too quickly; no solos and bob rock on bass didn't help much. |
THE BAD THINGS ABOUT ST. ANGER ARE:
repetitive riffs james voice no solos confusing lyrics but after all the riffs are cool and make 70 minutes of music with the budget that other band uses for 45 minutes of music. |
new avatar heavy metal kid?
yeah youre right about st. anger. lars snare drum sounds completely f*cked up too, i might add. |
I think one of the main reasons st anger came out the way it did was because of all the drama the band was going though trying to write it..Jason leaving, James fixing his addiction, james and lars's ego's going at it..the therapist, to much crap going on to fully concentrate on the music. that's all been fixed now...i think the new album will be much better than this last one.
|

I agree with all the points you made thought but I really don't think they are going to improve. |
i think they will. metallica aren't stupid, they listen to their fans too. it won't be MoP standard, but it'll be better than the st. anger horseshit.
I agree with all the points you made thought but I really don't think they are going to improve.
well you know on the other hand..they may have just lost their kick *** 80's spark...which would give me no reason to live.. :amaze: but I do think it will be a better album. |

does anyone really think rock affected metallica,i mean every metallica interview that i saw after the one video, metallica's attitude were different.
|
metallica will never get rid of rock
I don't have a problem with Rock, as a musician, I actually thought the basslines to St. Anger were kinda cool, he's not as bad as people say, I don't think those people have actually listenned to him. They just think "Oh Bob Rock, he's a producer he can't play music!" if they took into account all the band's he produces for, like RHCP one of the better bassists in rock, in my opinion, he's obviously going to learn a bit... I have a problem with Rock as a producer, I don't like any of the albums he's produced, except St. Anger, which he kinda wrote, but got Metallica's name on it  |
