Ghostface - The Pretty Toney Album
Relistened to this record and I'm enjoying more aspects of it now. Some tracks are great but some ... still aren't.

Dizzee Rascal - Showtime
Greg Davis & Sébastien Roux - Paquet Surprise

Little Man being Erased 03-08-2006 06:24 PM

The Beatles - Let it Be... Naked
The Beatles - Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band

I'm reading a book about the Beatles at the moment (it's called The Love You Make, I think) so I can see myself listening to them a LOT in the coming weeks.

it sounds pretty good, good recording requality

drums sound pretty cheesy though

Glitterati 03-08-2006 06:42 PM
Which songs?

Me and Mia is soooooooo good.
Me and Mia, I'm A Ghost, a bunch others I can't remember.

Today I'm once again listening to Belle & Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister.

Oh. my. god. This album just gets better every time I listen to it.

Zebra 03-08-2006 07:01 PM

They Might Be Giants - John Henry

The most underated TMBG album, and possibly one of the best alt/rock albums of the mid 90's.

BillCosby 03-08-2006 07:07 PM

The new TV on the Radio. I'm not sure what I think yet.

Daniel! 03-08-2006 07:12 PM

Every World/Inferno Friendship Society album I own
The Violent Femmes - s/t

I don't listen to it very often, but every time I put on the VF album it blows me away. Every single song just has something about to make me like it more than the last. Kiss Off and Add It Up are uncomparable to anything else, though.

Since the tub ring concert on saturday, I've been enjoying this local band that opened for them. Two of the people in the band used to go to my school, and they're really good. It's a 7 peice band with a wide variety of instruments, and they're very upbeat.

http://www.myspace.com/mightynarwhale

I seriously recomend them. The first song is live and bad quality, but the second song is good.

Explosions in the Sky - The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place
Radiohead - Hail to the Thief
Bob Dylan - Bringing it all Back Home

Haven't listened to Explosions in the Sky in aaaaaages. I still think it's a very very good album. I've gone off post-rock in general a little bit, but this is an album I can still enjoy immensely.

I just got an email from them, they said they're coming here in 2007.

I've just been listening to Johnny Cash and various Sigur Ros and EitS songs. I'm having a crap with stress and whatnot, so this stuff is pretty helpful. I'm listening to some Joy Division atm. "Atmosphere" is one of the greatest post-punk songs ever.
I just got an email from them, they said they're coming here in 2007.
Jeez, that's a long way off. Depending on how much I like them by the time they get here, they could be good to see live.

Little Man being Erased 03-09-2006 01:19 AM

Ryan Adams - Cold Roses
The Cure - Boys Don't Cry

br3ad_man 03-09-2006 02:03 AM

Prince - For You
Prince - Prince
Prince - Dirty Mind
Prince - Controversy
Prince - 1999
Prince - The Love Symbol Album
[I have the whole Prince discography now, which is why I've been listening to him heaps.]

asymm - criticisms & the artless art

good song choices

except always with the zombie music

Kyle 03-09-2006 06:59 AM

Anything by Jimi Hendrix at the moment.

Tomahawk 03-09-2006 07:50 AM

Listened to a bunch of Peter Gabriel today. Actually listened to OVO, which is a pretty bad album... but holy crap Downside Up is an amazing song. Maybe one of his best. This could all stem from my Liz Fraser fanboyism, but still, amazing.

Listening to The Joshua Tree right now. I'm liking U2 a LOT more than I used to. But I've got no love for anything post Joshua Tree.
also, a lot of Scrawl. Great bitter indie band.
Yeah Scrawl are cool, Velvet Hammer is a great album.

ATM 03-09-2006 08:52 AM

The Incredible Bongo Band - Bongo Rock
The Number Twelve Looks Like You - Nuclear Sad Nuclear
Jane's Addiction - Ritual De Lo Habitual

Before I thought I knew what you meant, but since you're applying it to this show, I have no idea. Zombie music?

It's awesome that you're listening though, I appreciate it man.

Recent diggage:
Arve Henriksen - Chiaroscuro
Dub Tractor - Hideout
and
Madvillain - Madvillainy

Doctor D. 03-09-2006 11:33 AM

Three 6 Mafia - Most Known Unknowns

I just got back from court, and this is the perfect album for that. PERFECT.

Iai 03-09-2006 11:50 AM

I like the new Belle & Sebastian a lot.

Luxor 03-09-2006 11:58 AM

Envy - All The Footprints...
Envy - A Dead Sinking Story

Bartender 03-09-2006 11:58 AM

I'm still digging Old Time Relijun - 2012 (kind of) and Magazine - The Correct Use Of Soap, and now also Metallica, for some reason.

Also faintly depressed, as Goat seems to be impossible to find.

3rdplanet 03-09-2006 01:25 PM

Have been listening to live Crowded House, King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime and Prefuse 73.

Crowded House is da bist.

Anyway, today I've been digging Queens of the Stone age. I love that band.
