I used to have to go to a psychiatrist due to the fact that I have OCD. I no longer have to go because in my case the disorder starts to wear off or at least weaken as I get older and my brain starts to produce more seritonin (to correct chemical imbalance).
That's great that it's better as you get older. I think I have a little bit of that. I don't think I have the disorder, but I definately have really weird quirks that could be labeled as OC.

I just made a pointless thread in the pit.

'ITT : We recreate the Black Death.'

Arucard 07-01-2005 09:36 AM

Ok, it got deleted. This is ridiculous, i thought it might be a fun thread.

yeh, same here. 4 people i know at school are going  funny thing was, yesterday at school i was wearing my velvet revolver top, and one of the girls going to Live8 asked who they were! she was quite surprised when i told her they're playing at Hyde Park tomorrow.

So I left the same 4 Opeth songs on repeat last night when I went to sleep. And they played all night. And now I don't know which song is which. And my Audioscrobbler should be interesting.

What's up?

Chu 07-01-2005 09:52 AM

On the subject of Opeth, I'm thinking of buying Morningrise (A few people I know say it's amazing) I checked Amazon, and they had this:

Well, I can't decide if I want to buy it or not, it could be money to spend on new strings for my guitar (Although, my guitars getting old.. Maybe I need a new one :x).

Can't help but agree there. I probably should be more silent than I am, though.

Anyways, I am off to the funeral home, and tomorrow is the funeral service in the morning.

After the funeral, I will then be travelling to the wedding, about a five-hour ride. I'll be there until Monday. It's just odd how it's a Sunday wedding, but then again, it's a holiday weekend here.

I'm not looking forward to both the funeral and the wedding/reception.

But, I hope you all have great weekends. To my American compadres, happy Independence Day/July 4th. If you light fireworks, make sure you don't keep them in your hand or anything. Not good times there.

I'll be back Monday, but by the time I get back, I have to close at the restaurant. Hopefully we won't be busy because of the holiday.

Besides, I take it I won't be missing much around here.

Anyway, take care, and have a good weekend.

If you haven't played this game already, please do. It's consumed at least an hour of my life by now and I still go back for more. God, I forgot how much I love Raiden.

RCA 07-01-2005 11:22 AM

Have a good time Jom.

MH617: Oh man! I love the Raiden games! I'll try that out now.

Congratulations 07-01-2005 11:45 AM

I just woke up about 15 minutes ago. I was sitting in bed when I remembered one of the oddest dreams I have ever had. It wasn't some wacked out dream, like that guy who dreamt about Hendrix stealing his dog, but one of events that happen on a daily basis. I was sitting on my computer posting on MX. I think I'm becoming addicted.

NP: The Happy Birthday Song - The Arrogant Worms.

Good, I'm not the only one. I don't think there has ever been music in any of my dreams.

NP: Not for Mary Lou - The Hanson Brothers

Stoic 07-01-2005 12:10 PM

music in my dreams has actually got me into metal in some way: when I first head run on the hills couldnt get the melody out of my head even in my sleep. Ever since there has always been a song playing in my head

That depends on the day. Most days I'm on here pretty much all day as I no longer have a girlfriend and I can't find a job and all my friends have jobs. Today I have a farewell party to go to for a friend.

Stoic 07-01-2005 12:50 PM

Personally, I've been on every day almost all day since my adsl account was activated a week ago. Posting and downloading and listening is actually the last thing I do before going to bed at 2am so I guess this is why my dreams are like that :p

/but I guess it's just a way to over come my sadness

They do it to bring a thread back to the first page where people will see it.

I thought goths were suppose to be anti-social? If this is the deal then why do they have a forum? Doesn't that contradict the anti-social aspect?
I thought goths were suppose to be anti-social? If this is the deal then why do they have a forum? Doesn't that contradict the anti-social aspect?
Exactly! That's why I said it was retarded! Goths are known for being anti-social! Some people actually think metalheads are supposed to generally be mad. My best friend and I were at Hot Topic searching on the offchance that they might have something interesting and the dude at the counter (who said he liked Jimmy Eat World...*gag*....emo dude....) said to her "are you an angry metal chick?" We laugh about it all the time. :D

Just because I listen to metal a lot of the people at my school think I am some sort of freak that will one day shoot up the school because of the music I listen to. Little do they know that is what pisses me off. All the "cool" people in my school listen to R&B and Rap. There is a very small faction of metal heads.

There is a group of 5 people out of 3,000(I live in a small town) that like metal, and we get, I don't know what to call it, critisized because of our music choices.

I used to be one of those people that listened to rap, and "rock" music like Nickleback and Creed and the such *ashamed* My friend got me into older music in about grade 9: AC DC, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hnedrix etc.. Then it just went from there into metal. And I still do not have the collection that I would like.

Yeah, same here. But way back when I used to listen to the crappy pop music and radio mainstream stuff. Then I went to rock, to pop-punk, to real punk and from there to metal, deathmetal, power metal, whatever the hell else I listen to. I'm really diverse though, I listen to different stuff. Just not rap, country or pop. :thumb:

I'm so predictable, but:

Why don't you listen to any of those genres?
I'm so predictable, but:

I knew this one was coming. :)

I have respect to all kinds of genres. The reason that I don't listen to country or rap, is that they aren't really my thing. I don't make fun of them or anything, it's just not something I particularly enjoy. I do think that there is talent in them. The closest thing to country I listen to is Lynyrd Skynyrd. The reason I don't like and listen to pop, is that I feel that most of the time, there is no talent involved. Most of the time the vocals suck (and are edited to perfect quality. I mean, have you ever heard that Simpson chick live? *gag*), the instrumental parts aren't impressive at all, mostly just chords. I see nothing special about the genre. But that's just my opinion. I also know that little girls are buying the albums of those sluts that "sing" and I don't think it's a good idea.

Stoic 07-01-2005 02:30 PM

today's pop sounds "plastic" to me. There's no emotion at all.

EDIT

I think I agree with Kreator's song Love us or hate us:

Lay out your options. Theres a whole world out in front of you. Take the scenic route.

Who cares if it's indie. Who cares if it's soul. Who cares if it's country, pop, emo, rock, ska, hip-hop.

Good music is good music. Apples may be apples, and oranges may be oranges, but hell, they both taste good, so don't limit yourselves to just either one.

Just felt like ranting :)

Yes! Exactly part of my point! I like bands that impress me, inspire me, make me want to thrash around my room when I'm alone. That's why I like metal. :thumb:

No, but that's exactly it! You like what you like. I listen to classical, punk, classic rock, broadway (mainly the Phantom of the Opera), opera, some jazz, some blues, some guitar stuff and many different kinds of metal. Hell, I still listen to Green Day; *waits for the blow*
