The Ring scared the crap out of me, personally. I found all the little details to be very interesting and creepy. It wasn't your typical shock-n-stab flick, though, I'll give you that. So if you're used to that kind of scary movie, you probably didn't like it.

Haven't seen the Grudge, everyone said it was horrible. And White Noise...that movie should be cut up to make free ukelele picks.

The Ring looked too scary so I never saw it. Every other crap "horror" movie that comes out today probably sucks, so I don't see those either. (Like the ones you listed.)

And I liked the part in The Village where the monsters attacked. Except then it sucked. I wish the whole movie was like monsters killing people. But guess what! Secret twist!$!

Yea that's the main reason I haven't seen too many scary movies. People make it seem so much scarier than it really is.

Bartender 02-03-2005 03:00 PM
Is it like The Village? Everyone says it's "the thrill of the year" and the "scariest since Sixth Sense" and it was pretty funny actually. It was far from scary
I haven't yet gone near it. Sixth Sense was bad (not too bad, but bad), Unbreakable was worse, and Signs was godawful...so it doesn't bode well for The Village.

Nice gocaps, you have stars now, hoorah!

I'm glad i'm not the only one who didn't like Signs, what a waste of 2 hours!

Arucard 02-03-2005 03:03 PM

My parents said that movie was awesome.

-Listy- 02-03-2005 03:13 PM

I havent seen it yet, but i dont think it will match upto the original..Meh.

Bartender 02-03-2005 03:15 PM

I remember seeing the original (or something that reminds me strongly of the one trailer I've seen for this new one) on TV late at night years ago. What I remember of it was pretty cool.
I'm glad i'm not the only one who didn't like Signs, what a waste of 2 hours!
Yeah, it really was a disaster zone.

Arucard 02-03-2005 03:18 PM

Bobo, when your on, i need to know which naruto episode he fights the snake woman in.

i am the robots 02-03-2005 03:18 PM

Signs wasn't that bad, it just wasn't as scary, if you go to see Signs and The Village not expecting to be scared, they're actually really good.

Bartender 02-03-2005 03:20 PM

I wasn't expecting to be scared, though.

I dunno what to tell ya then :/

superpeer 02-03-2005 03:22 PM
I went to see 'The Grudge' Today. The film was enjoyable, and the funniest thing happened in the middle of the film.

Buffy what's here name Gellar played in it, and in the previews we could all see how she's taking a shower. So there's this guy sitting a couple of seats away. There's the shower scene, obviously you don't get a glimpse of anything (:upset: ) and the guy goes 'Pffft !' and he just stands up and walks out in the middle of the film.:lol:
Laugh at my story !
Is he another illusion?
He's 'Belgian'. Which means he was grown in a pod, and spends his time deceiving people believing his country exists.

Good story though, I also laughed.

Cain 02-03-2005 03:30 PM

If you look at him in the right light, he vanishes.

According to crazy people on teh interweb Belgium is not a real country, just a mass conspiracy. Superpeer=Belgian, therefore he is not real.

SofaKing713 02-03-2005 03:31 PM

I got a laugh out of Superpeer's story. I am yet to see that movie but I really don't want to. Everything looks to fake. Last night I watched Full Metal Jacket. That was a good movie.

magicbus 02-03-2005 03:33 PM

I'll be watching Apacolypse Now this weekend. And maybe American Beauty again. Which was very good.

Cain 02-03-2005 03:36 PM

Platoon is my Vietnam War movie, personally. I admit there are many I have not seen yet, like the Deer Hunter or Apocalypse Now. But Platoon is just insane.

Also, according to the Flat Earth Society: The world is flat (duh), Australia doesn't exist (even though the founder's wife is native to Australia), Wisconson doesn't exist, the North pole is at the cente of the earth, the south pole is actually a mountain range surrounding the known world, and outside of it there are green men, who also live on the bottem of the earth, the moon and sun are 100 meters in diameter, nobody has ever been in space, and the world is always spiraling upward 40,000 KM below heaven.

magicbus 02-03-2005 03:37 PM

Man I love Platoon. I got it for Christmas cause I'd actually never seen the entire movie. Its awesome. Definently one of my favorites.

LordDargon 02-03-2005 03:37 PM

I don't watch movies.

I think Eleventeen is trying to argue with me about thrash metal in that thread. This should be amusing in the same way as watching a midget trying to ride a bike.
