Charles Mingus - The Black Sant & The Sinner Lady
I haven't played this in quite a while. Forgot how amazing it is.
I'm rereading Miles it's funny when ever he mentions Mingus or Bird. |
Add N to (X) - Avant Hard
Jimmy Smith - Root Down The Planet The - You Absorb My Vision |
i listened to you absorb my vision today
pretty cool album, i'd say their first was better though |
never heard it
|
never heard it
i'll upload it for the mailing list if you want |
The Knife - Silent Shout
You know those crappy early-90's computer games that you can usually buy for like $2.50 at cheap stores? And they had really shrill, echoey, vaguely ominous soundtracks consisting of synths and drum machines? That's what this album is.
Yeah, this record is simply bad. I had a hard time choking down 6 songs. TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain Venetian Snares - Rossz Csillag Alatt Született Ghostface - The Pretty Toney Album Can't say I'm digging this one very much. The over the top sexual skits/songs have just been turning me off. Plus the beats/melodies are never that great anyway. I've really liked some Ghostface Killah that I've heard, but this record isn't doing it for me. I'm going to check out some of his past catalogue. |
=)

Mr. Cosby, your avatar inspired to me to download some Ted Leo last night, and I really liked it.
I'm digging Mogwai right now. |

Ryan Adams - Gold
Ryan Adams is one of only a few artists that I can listen to at absolutely any time. |
I just saw Walk The Line last night, so I just feel really empty if I listen to anything but Johnny Cash at the moment.
I just saw Walk The Line last night, so I just feel really empty if I listen to anything but Johnny Cash at the moment.
I know exactly what you mean. Since I saw that I've bought The Essesntial Johnny Cash, At Folsom Prison and At San Quentin. |
Dengue Fever and Ghostface today. Really looking forward to Fishscale. Dengue Fever is kinda neat, nice world/60's vibe going on there. And somebody tipped me off on a link to Ras Kass' upcoming album so hopefully I'll be enjoying that by the end of the day. Pretty interesting lineup on that one, GZA, Dr. Dre, Kool G Rap, 9th Wonder, Talib. Not even sure when it's supposed to come out
|
Sonny Rollins - Saxophone Colossus
|
Prefuse 73 - One Word Extinguisher
"Plastic" is a really nice song. |
