Have you signed up for the thrash metal mailing list?
I have some songs in mind I'd like to send you to give you some ideas.
I'm not sure, I signed up for a bunch of different ones when that whole wave of threads came about haha. Was there a seperate thread for the thrash metal mailing list or were the emails given in this thread? |

There was a seperate thrash mailing list. Check your email in a while. I'm going to send you a few songs. Alright well.. you can check your email now. |
TSO was awesome. For those of you who know who Al Pitrelli is, I got his autograph on TSO's latest record, along with the rest of the orchestra. :D
They're a cool bunch.
That's pretty sweet man. |
That's pretty sweet man.
Damn straight. :D Upon giving Artillery's B.A.C.K. repeated listens, I've concluded that it is indeed better than I previously thought. It has nothing on By Inheritance, though it is definitely a worthy addition to their legacy. |
I still have not heard B.A.C.K yet, I'll have to check it out.
I'm groing impatient of the new Celtic Frost. Tom needs to get his act together. I sure hope it dosen't suck. I'll be pretty openminded toward it as well, I mean.....I liked Cold Lake...so yeah. I've got an ear infection I've been deaf for the past two days, it majorly blows |

I hope you get better man, earaches are no fun. :( I'm not too excited for the new CF. |
Its been a while since I've been in here. I just went on a Vader buying spree. Got Revelations, De Profundis and Future of the Past and the beast. I love Vader. The band and I have a gig tommorow in which we are covering For Those Who died. I can't freaking wait.

Good luck with the cover. It should rock the house. I also have been on a buying spree...the last two albums I got were Nile and Death albums, Leprosy and In Their Darkened Shrines. Unas Slayer of the Gods is a ****ing awesome song. So is The Blessed Dead. Death is a powerhouse from start to finish on Leprosy...glad I bought it. Sad thing is now I'm conserving :upset: |
Thanks. Those are two great albums. I love Leprosy, Born Dead, Pull the Plug and Left to Die. And yeah Unas is ****ing amazing.
|
Death's Demos > all other Death. :)
|
Nice buys there.
And I still have to find Mantas stuff, I've been putting it off for months. |

And I still have to find Mantas stuff, I've been putting it off for months.
Don't put it off any longer, it's worth it. Very easy to find on slsk, it shouldn't take you more than a couple minutes to find a few of them. |
Alright, got a couple searches going. :)
|
I can't be bothered finding their demos. Scream Bloody Gore owns though.

Be bothered. They're not hard to find and it's worth it. |
Which demo(s) would you recommend?

*bump*

New Sadus song available here.
Come on Sadus, you can do better than that. :( |
It was a little bland :(
I was actually expecting something a little more technical. |
It was a little bland :(
I was actually expecting something a little more technical.
Exactly. :( Oh well, one can hope they have better material on the album. |
Yeah. The production kinda sucked too. Usually I love Steve DiGiorgio's bass sound, but that sounded pretty average all round.
|
Lawl...the lyrics are pretty generic o.o;
The music to me is pretty damn good for what I have here in my crappy city of **** at the time XD Personally, the instruments stick out well. Ok, I guess it is a little bland now that I've listened to it. Well, Jon was right about it could a little more technical >.>; Compared to The Wake that is...I still need to get the debut. Goddamn record shops and SoulSeek never helping me XD |
The new Annihilator makes the New Sadus look Godly though.
I don't know, that song wasn't that bad, but it wasn't amazing either. NP: Fates Warning - Epitaph |
That Sadus wasn't bad, but it's a bit disappointing.

I don't know, that song wasn't that bad, but it wasn't amazing either. NP: Fates Warning - Epitaph
Exactly. I did give the new Annihilator a second try, and yeah, it has some pretty good overall groove to it but Like Father Like Gun is definitely something you'd hear off of Tempo of the Damned's slower moments. To me, the album reminded me of Tempo and Arch Enemy's Doomsday Machine, but less melody...>.> The new Sadus was good to me. Although, like everyone, they always have room for improvement because nothing will ever be perfect :upset: |
The new Annihilator makes the New Sadus look Godly though.
NP: Fates Warning - Epitaph
Yeah, but the same goes for the old stuff too. |
bah for some reason i can't get the new Sadus to work :(
It better not be as **** as you lot say it is, as Sadus are one of my favourites. |
hmm just heard it and i think its a big let down. Looks like i'll just have to stick with the classic Sadus.
NP Sadus - Sadus Attack :thumb: |
NP: Artillery - The Cure
If you're going to use groove in your thrash, use it like Artillery does in this song. The verses are infectious! :D |
NP: Fates Warning - Ivory Gates of Dreams
Okay, the Fates Warning album No Exit is definatley thrash with progressive and power metal structures. There is precisley one groovy thrash riff (and yes it's real thrash) in this whole album and it is at 17:04 of "Ivory Gates of Dreams" (it's a 21 minute long song). I must declare ultimate headbangage This album definatley is number 2 on my list, second only to RFA |
