Nah it's just 30", but Porkupine was telling me that you can get 44" Gothic Radius'.

Still, nothing beats the fabled Zildaisteabian 66" Heavy Gospel Ride.

Win A Rabbit 12-27-2005 08:04 PM

whoa. my rash is completely gone on my right arm. that moisturizer cream my mom uses does wonders. and it's nearly gone on my left. this stuff is great.

Jezen 12-27-2005 08:05 PM

^^^
Aqueous cream? Please don't tell me you use quartezone....

Win A Rabbit 12-27-2005 08:07 PM

it's dormer something. it was like $20 for a bottle of it. crazy expensive, but works magnificently.

my parents are gone. i'm gonna go play drums. be back in a while.
Ah.
Just got back from another lovely day of shopping and a dinner at Applebee's.
I got Lumines for PSP, DOOM collectors edition for PC, a Vic Firth pad, and a pair of Danney Carey sigs.
They feel kind of weird.
They're super light and they seem to bounce a lot. I don't know exactly how to grip them though...
The orange ones? I love mine, it's just that that paint on'em makes sooooo slippery.

RushHourSoul 12-27-2005 09:09 PM

The Ska Man 12-27-2005 09:12 PM

If you crash it, not only would your sticks snap on contact, but you'd go deaf too. What a 2'fer

bwahahaha ya the conversation would be:

SG:Hey sweet ride! :naughty:
YOU:Thanks it was only $100 more than the 20"!!!
SG:Ok lets do a soundcheck...
YOU:Hit the cymbal, sustains for about 10 minutes
SG: (first thirty seconds) wow
(next minute)
(following minute)
(next 7.5 minutes while the cymbal sustains) turns into King Kong and smashes your drumset
YOU:That was my brand new SONOR Force 3005! (attack him with your Aheads, meanwhile he suffers massive brain damage)

bwahahaha

nah... I've actually played on that cymbal. It's so bad as you might think, it's got a very odd low pitch though.

You just can't get it to build up the nessicary vibrations with out doing a mallet roll, and even then you'd have to be rolling fairly hard to get it to open up.

You need an avatar change man it's been the same forever!

PremierManiac 12-27-2005 10:35 PM

Mine's been the same forever, and it's still just as great as when it was new.

Win A Rabbit 12-27-2005 10:38 PM

i like josiah's avatar. it's one of those ones that i see out of the corner of my eye as i'm reading, and i know it's him. i don't like when people change avatars, since i recognize them more by their avatar than their name. that's just me though.

has anyone here seen 'curb your enthusiasm' ? i've heard good and bad about it, but i don't seem to get it ever on my tv. the seasons are like $35 each, and i've thought about buying them many times to see if it's any good, but it's just a bit too expensive for me to gamble on. i've tried downloading episodes on limewire, but they always get to like 5% and then it says "more sources needed". argh.

i'm with you....i don't like it when people change avatars either cuz i do recognize it more than the name...though i remember names ok...i just don't remember what from

Janeway 12-27-2005 10:57 PM

Oooh.
I found an ancient JVC tape deck in the basement with two microphones.
I hooked it up ghetto style, one on a stand in the corner and one slung over a pipe on the ceiling and recorded myself for a good 40 minutes.
The sound quality is actually pretty decent. No back ground noise, none of the drums were distorted and the only thing that sounded funny was my ride.
Made me realize that I'm sloppier than I thought I was.
Hmm...

Epiphender 12-27-2005 11:51 PM
14" crash = pointless
Far from it. I've been making good use of mine for four years.

What do you call splashes then?
It's funny that you should get a pair of sticks without actually liking the feel...

Double Bass Jim 12-28-2005 12:59 AM

Nothing wrong at all with 14" crashes! Plenty of people use smaller crashes

I just bought an effect pedal off my buddy, it's a morley classic wah he modifed himself. He installed a pot on it to adjust the boost the pedal has which stock morleys don't come with. Theres also a blue LED replacement :D

hahahhaa I bet that's awesome!

Man snow... amazing thing about So Cal, we'll never or rarely (once every 20 years) get snow. Wich generally melts before it hits the ground.

Though world class snowboarding can be found only 6 or so hours away.

And world class surfing about 15 mins away.

It's been a rather cold winter here, our nights are getting down near 50.
