Union of Uranus (not technically skram but had a HUGE influence on some of the first screamo bands)
Greetings our subjugated friends!

I am fromt he punk forum and me and AdreTheHyena have been having a dispute. He claims that Jawbreaker is classified has melodic hardcore/emocaore and I speak the truth when I say that Jawbreaker is pop punk.

For real, who would ever think Jawbreaker is melodic hardcore? I mean, Is ee where you get the emo thing from, Blake's lyrics are int hat category, but their music is straight up pop punk.

Andrew I'm throwing away all my Las Cruces mp3s.

As said, you are correct.
if you could see any emo band reunite, who would it be? for me it'd be a tie between indian summer and i hate myself
For one show? Or like, to get back together and makes more records?

Probably City of Caterpillar for both.

Matt? 10-23-2006 09:44 PM

i wouldn't want to see any band reunite. but i wish i was older and could've seen boys life back in the day.

SGlove 10-23-2006 10:53 PM

The old TBS elohel.

Saetia.
Quantice Never Crashed.
Joshua Fit for Battle.

Dextomethorphan 10-24-2006 06:53 AM

Saetia, maybe Cap'n Jazz

pixiesfanyo 10-24-2006 07:16 AM

Jerome's Dream.

bottlerocket 10-24-2006 09:42 AM

Either pg.99, Cap'n Jazz, Olive Tree, and OTMOP.

pg.99 would just be insane live.

Cap'n Jazz is straight out amazing.

Olive Tree would let me die happy, seeing "This Is What Happens When You Stop Believing In Magic" and "A Good Man is Hard to Find" live.

OTMOP because For Meg live would be the most epic emo song if they played it right.

Orchid - If they just played Chaos is Me from beginning to end I would die a happy man.

Saetia - All I would ask is that they play Ariadne's Thread and One Dying Wish. This would probaly the only case of me actually crying at a show because those two songs mean so much to me.

Hassan I Sabbah - Damn this band is sick.

Naturally I would rather of saw them back when the songs were new then now.

Dextomethorphan 10-24-2006 12:24 PM

Wait, you never said the band had to be emo...
Bear vs. Shark

whiteminority 10-24-2006 12:30 PM

Yes he did.

Dextomethorphan 10-24-2006 12:41 PM

So he did...my mistake.

Dextomethorphan 10-24-2006 12:41 PM

I'm still on anesthesia(sp?) cut a little slack

whiteminority 10-24-2006 12:45 PM

Hahaha, what happened?

whiteminority 10-24-2006 12:51 PM

Anyone have any tips for getting into an 18+ show where they check id's at the door? I really want to go see PsyOpus and Hank III on Friday but it's 18+.

Sep 10-24-2006 01:40 PM

Dude, you're not 18 yet?

pixiesfanyo 10-24-2006 01:42 PM

Go early, and ask the band if you can help them.

Pretend to be crew.

RetiredAt21 10-24-2006 02:06 PM

That would probably work.

SGlove 10-24-2006 02:35 PM

Snap.
Those are good picks.

Wasn't there massive hate on Hassan I Sabbah a little while ago?

Saeita would have to play Venus and Bacchus and the Poet You Never Were for me.

cbmartinez 10-24-2006 02:41 PM

I would have Saetia play "Potlapsaria" and then leave.

AIRIC 10-24-2006 03:21 PM

I saw BVS like 2 weeks before they broke up. Amazing show except for FBTMOF.

Matt? 10-24-2006 03:34 PM

gav olive tree's still around.

i always ask bands if they need help setting up regardless. i like doing it, because i'd imagine if i went on tour i'd like someone to help carry amps for once.

cd's in the mail wtfomgrulez

whiteminority 10-24-2006 04:49 PM
Dude, you're not 18 yet?
No, why do you ask?

whiteminority 10-24-2006 04:52 PM

I'd try but this club is also a bar and it's in a crowded area I wouldn't get there on time and the bouncers would catch me.

cobert 10-24-2006 05:10 PM

What the hells the name of the one REALLY pansy sounding Saetia song, where it actually sounds like some gay soft Jimmy Buffet shit? I wanna say its track 4 on A Retrospective, but Im not sure.

whiteminority 10-24-2006 05:15 PM

Woodwell, the instrumental?

Matt? 10-24-2006 05:15 PM

that track rules. comparing something to jimmy buffet is no insult

cobert 10-24-2006 05:17 PM

I think thats it.

Im not saying it was bad, its just gay and weird Jimmy Buffet sounding.

Matt? 10-24-2006 05:19 PM

i wish more saetia sounded like that

cobert 10-24-2006 05:19 PM

Eh...
