Symphony X actually interacts with the crowd, and look like they have fun playing their music. They move too.

Dream Theater, they just stand there, show no emotion, and look like playing music is a 9 to 5 grind. They look like they'd rather be anywhere else but here.

i suppose you could almost say DT treat music as a competition, i like their music but a lot of it is just dragging on huge solos and riffs too far. although, Wait For Sleep is a masterpiece.

'tis a great album. Adrian really shines on that album...

I think the opening to the album is really awesome sounding and anthemic. The synth gives it more depth.
