yeah, tried it both ways. but i dont auto-synch my ipod so for some reason it doesnt like to scrobble. it'll pop up like a month late sometimes.

I wonder how this new method loads their servers... might even be better to calculate it on demand instead of calculating everyone's data all in one hit.

I think this was the plan all along. I mean, I'm sure CBS can afford the bandwith and staff.

Same **** always happens to me. So I stopped trying to scrobble my iPod...

edit: and it doesn't count most of the tracks I listened to.

I just went into the diagnostics in the last.fm client, said "i manually manage" and set it so it'd scrobble automatically and it's working like a charm now. It's all automatic.

it updates in real time if you just go to "last seven days" on your profile page. if you go to the charts page it takes a few days (but it also saves it in weekly form).

even before sometimes it wouldn't give me the scobble notice 100% of the time but they always go through

Tbh, I didn't think they were too great. I liked Young Mountain, but there's easily a lot better post-rock out there
