I can usually get past a singer's voice if I really enjoy the music. That's how I got to liking Tom Waits.
I once ate a sucker that had a cricket in the middle. I got it from the Discovery Channel store.
You should have tried to clone it into a dinosaur, like in Jurrasic Park when they find a mosquitoe inside tree sap
I have, in the past 2 hours, rediscovered my love for Sonic Youth.
I love Dripping Dream they are such a good band. I recently rediscovered my love for Nick Cave.

Glitterati 07-09-2005 02:24 AM

Sonic Youth are great. It almost makes me want to turn off GWAR and put them on.

The Ashtray Girl 07-09-2005 03:57 AM

Hey everyone, just got back from holiday so I was well out of the way of London on Thursday, and all my family are ok, because I know you all cared about that.
Has anyone wondered what modrock's been up to? I have details :)
I have pictures* :)

*One, grainy picture. But still. Very, very cute.

And Dresden Dolls rule.

br3ad_man 07-09-2005 04:04 AM

Hey Ashtray. How was your holiday?

pixiesfanyo 07-09-2005 07:23 AM

I think my cat has a tumor.

ATM 07-09-2005 07:25 AM

I'm leaving today for Massachusetts. I'm going spear fishing where Jaws was filmed

Interstate 07-09-2005 07:47 AM

I went into Virgin Megastore yesterday while waiting for the showing of War Of The Worlds (my friend and I were told a different time to arrive so we showed up an hour early). There was a huge sale of practically everything. And I didn't buy a single thing  Methinks I have curbed my spending spree.

JonM 07-09-2005 08:48 AM

Oh, God. My head.

ATM 07-09-2005 08:52 AM

Hey Jon, Pilotdrift want me to join their promotions team.

JonM 07-09-2005 09:00 AM

Sweet! You're certainly doing a lot of promotion of Pilotdrift, as far as I can tell.

ATM 07-09-2005 09:04 AM

Yea, I am just really into them lately.

If I did join the promotions team, I would get to meet them next time they play a show here.

JonM 07-09-2005 09:07 AM

Oh dude. Do they pay you?

ATM 07-09-2005 09:09 AM

Nah, it would be just for fun.

That sucks about Sigur Ros, man. My dad and I are going to go, since they are playing about 2 miles from my house, literally.

pixiesfanyo 07-09-2005 09:12 AM

Noise rock thread should go in Alt/Indie or Other?

JonM 07-09-2005 09:13 AM

It does suck, much. I'm glad for you.

Noise rock thread should go here.

BillCosby 07-09-2005 09:50 AM

Glitterati 07-09-2005 01:53 PM

Morning, everyone!

*streches and yawns loudly*
Do It **** You, Do It Now
I should. GWAR are hilariously bad. I mean, reaaaally bad.

lunch998 07-09-2005 02:10 PM

The scene in Empire Records with them is hilarious though.

"Mark man, you play a mean guitar man. It's too bad that you must DIE!"

Glitterati 07-09-2005 02:17 PM

That poor kid

Good movie.

Kyle 07-09-2005 04:25 PM

Anyone catch any of the 'T in the park' highlights from today? New Order and James Brown were really good. Brandon Flowers from The Killers so-sung 'Crystal' with New Order, He did ok but I still don't like him.

Iai 07-09-2005 05:13 PM

I have 999 comments on Sputnik.

Oh, by the way, I picked up Sam Cooke's Portriat of A Legend today, from Tescos of all places. Seems they've re-released it.

pixiesfanyo 07-09-2005 06:38 PM

The Killers are almost as lame as Iai.

br3ad_man 07-09-2005 06:47 PM

I like The Killers. But they're pretty lame.

ArrestThisMan, that's pretty cool, Pilotdrift are the fuzz.

Canadian-Guy 07-09-2005 07:05 PM

The Killers are lame.

/actually enjoys them, and Franz Ferdinand

br3ad_man 07-09-2005 07:06 PM

The Bravery pwn The Killers in the lameness department.

pixiesfanyo 07-09-2005 07:07 PM

Hey at least they aren't Hawthorne Heights.
