Upload it, then download it onto your other computer.
EDIT: Guess that's out of the question then...Hmm, lemme think here for a second.. Wait, how do you plan on getting Audacity onto your own computer if it has no internet? |

Could I do that with my MP3 Player? |
I know...but my parents REALLY wouldn't appreciate my singing in the living room, where this computer is. I want to put Audacity on the computer in my room, which doesn't have the Internet.
Beg your parents for some singing time, like 10 mins a day
Nice, but I'd do the uploading when I get some CDs. Anywho, I could probably sing tomorrow, but my dad would get ticked.
Yes, but how would you get Audacity on it in the first place?
Use a jump drive, it'll solve all your transferring of files problems.
I could drag-and-drop, like I put music onto it, I could probably do that, given time to clear my MP3 player.

Tell your dad your trying out for a band thats been singed for a record deal |
He'd buy that, but I'd rather do it in my room, that's where I do all my singing. I sang my first Tool song (Schism) in there, and that's where I write my lyrics, so I'd be comfortable there.
if expresso is doing stink fist and aenima, i will do whatever song dude3 records, if i can get a decent drum sound.
could i request to do the grudge also? not for the comp or anything, just for the fun of it.... jake, i member you said you were learning it, so i might do a drumtrack within this week. |
faith, what do you play (on the grudge) for the electronic parts? My friend and I play that song a lot, and my toms just aren't giving the electronic sections of the song any justice.
If you have decent recording capabilities again, record whatever you can, man!
The Grudge- I could probably try and record it right now. At least part of it. My tone will suffer greatly though, due to my lack of good distortion. :p |
something heavy on a turned off snare, and then i will over lap with bongos and a djembe.
I guess I need to invest in some bongos and a djembe then. I was looking on ebay for some simmons pads and found 5 of them for $250 (or somewhere around there), but never got around to putting a bid on it.
have you played the simmons? there are better triggers IMO
No, I haven't played them, but I knew D.C. used them. So I figured that would be the best way to get the same sound as he does, though they weren't the same numbers as his. I still will look out for them though, I've found them to be quite interesting and have always wanted to play on them.
In a sec, I'll try to send in a sound test recording. Like if I need to alter the settings a little. I'll just play a few bars.

I just recorded the first 3 minutes of The Grudge. It's actually going better than I figured it would. I would have done it all, but you know, my mom walked in "Hey do you want a drink?"
NO I'M FUCKING RECORDING YOU WENCH!!! It's very hard to get the rythm sounding good when it's just guitar, because you have to be spot on. I'm gonna upload it to my soundclick, so I shall have it up in 10-15 minutes. for your listening pleasure. |
Yeah, I figured he had an expensive module of some sort that he was using, thanks for clearing that up. I'll still look into the pads though, just in case they come in handy some time.
I'm not gonna do a soundcheck tonight. I forgot how to convert the files, and I'll deal with that tomorrow.
Hey, all...I'm seriously reconsidering recording vocals. I recorded myself singing the first verse of Judith...and I sound like a ****ing five year old...I've always sounded like that on tape, so.........
I know. We all think that we may be able to sing. Then we record ourselves, and we get a little suprise.
I think this has happened to everyone. |
i bought this tool cover cd, it has some crap on it, there is Death Metal version of reflection done by Traslation collapse. it sounds like ASS

Dude, try and record the package on drums whenever you can, send it to me then and Ill add the bass |

I can't wait until I can dish out the cash and get a module and some pads. I'd like to have a hybrid kit like his. I think it's really cool. |

That sounds really bad in my head. |
Ok, someone tell me what you think of the track. I'm hoping it's just me being hard on my self, but I felt very off in some sections. :-/
