DUDE, BRO.
Nooo man I love you. :( |
What are the stand out tracks on Versions.
I'm going to give it another chance, because I want to like it. |
Seriously, just get the 2006 demo.
|

haha, done. |
DUDE, BRO.
Nooo man I love you. :(
ill forgive you man I appreaciate Slice Paper Wrists and Not Within Arms Length so more now that've seen PTW play 'em live ahah. |
I saw them live once. They stopped the show like 2 or 3 times to tell people to stop ****ing around in the pit.
"Stopping punching each other in the face and enjoy the show" They're gentlemen. |
Yeah, those songs are awesome live. FYI guys I like old PTW. It was good times messing with you.
|
YCBY and The Opposite of December are all you need really.
|
No.
Everything they've released except versions. |

Tear From The Red is the shiznit dude. Don't forget it! |
2006 Demo is their best.
|
I never really could get into Tear from the Red. Dunno why since the clean vocals on thata re a lot better than the ones on The Opposite of Decmember.
|
That album is awesome, some of the thrashy hardcore parts on there get me mad hard.
|
It may be my favorite, but its hard to pick from those 3.
|
I think YCBY is probably my favourite.
|
that has some AMAZING songs on it, it's hard for me to pick a favorite...
|
Its funny cause I got rid of TFTR when I first got it cause I didn't like it at all. I ended up buying it again like a year later.
|
i can't pick a favorite between opposite of december, tear from the red and ycby. i love versions too, but it's just not on the same level as the other 3.
ptw is definitely top 3 in my all time favorites list. it's sad that the only time i've seen them is when i was first starting to get into them and really know that much material outside of nerdy/zombies are good for your health/crystal lake. sucks x2 because the breakdown in turn down elliot is like HOLY **** and i'm pretty sure i missed it :-( |
haha that's kinda sad, not gonna lie it's one of my least favorites by them. I don't count Versions at all
|
Yeah Versions doesn't grab me as much.
|
the other's really are amazing!! SOO many kickass songs
YCBY is damn good, just wanted to clarify it's not my favorite |
I hope their new album is good and they tour with good bands.
|
i wish they would play smaller venues again, there are some bands it just works better that way...
|
I'm sure they will. The only time I saw them at a big venue was Sounds Of The Underground.
|
It depends on where you live. Like, they come to the Lehigh Valley sometimes, and there's not really any big venue here, just this poopty venue that thinks they're a big venue.
If they get the sound right for a band that is really big, like Poison The Well or As Cities Burn it actually turns out really well. Except at that show Spencer from Underoath couldn't scream, probably a combo of too much coke and bad technique haha. |
metalcore is a dying genre
|
lol
|
Not really.

i ****ing love youtube edit: i like watching how jeffrey grows from their older videos to their newer ones. |
in Iowa the big venues are US Cellular Center, Val Air Ballroom
bands like Slipknot, Slayer etc. tend to play there the biggest venue we have is Wells Fargo Arena Metallica played there earlier this year there are a few small clubs, my fave is The Picador, some band's i've seen there recently Bleeding Through, BDM, The Red Chord, plus local bands play there a lot |
Baltimore and DC have plenty of good clubs etc. I'm spoiled.
|
**** off
jk but yeah my only options for most shows are drive to Chicago, St Louis or somewhere 4-6 hours away, wats the name of the big one in DC? i'm blanking on the name I've seen most shows @ The Picador, a lot of bands i listen to play there, most of the time on later tours they go to bigger venues... |
Big? Nissan Pavillion, Patriot Center and Merriweather Post Pavillion are all lumped into DC. Oh and Verizon Center.
930 Club is the big club though. |
930 is the one! my buddy used to live in DC and was always talking it up
|
It's pretty nice. Great vegan burritos too!
I prefer the Baltimore clubs now though. Rams Head Live and Sonar get lots of good shows. Rams Head is huge and The Devil Wears Prada sold out there! I was surprised. |
they sold out People's Court, it's good sized also. I was kinda bummed Sky Eats Airplane was opening, and i wanted to go
|
Yeah I got there and the girl who had my ticket wasn't there and they wouldn't let me get it from will call without her permission. Her phone was dead. Gay!
|
WTF?! time to call the chief....
CHIEF SMACKAHOE!! |
Yeah that skank. She called me hours later and apologised profusely but ah well. I still got a t-shirt through a friend who was inside.
