RockAndRoll 12-21-2004 07:06 PM

haha I saw those adds the compilations looked pretty good, but it's sad that roger daltrey has sunk that low.

Woodstock 12-21-2004 07:09 PM

I saw that Legends compilation on at 2:00AM a few nights ago. It looked pretty good.

Seafroggys 12-21-2004 07:16 PM
I dont like listening to it because it kills the song and the solo. i personally think its one of the best songs made, but i listen to it the least. Thats like listening to eruption 10 times a day, every day because its the 'greatest guitar solo ever'...but any song can get old, except DSOTM for me.
Yeah, any song gets old. I've killed like a dozen of my favorite songs because I've heard them too much.

Freebird is awesome, btw.

EDIT: Oh wow, I forgot to go to the last page....my bad.

lunch998 12-21-2004 07:20 PM

Yea I saw a commercial for that, it actually looked interesting. I don't think Daltrey would do it if it wasn't any good.

RockAndRoll 12-21-2004 07:46 PM

I would hope not.

lunch998 12-21-2004 07:52 PM

Daltrey still needs to have his dignity.

appreciate_it 12-21-2004 07:58 PM

you think you would have a bit of dignity if you were in Rock and roll hall of fame?
I would... And you'd think he wouldn't need the money with all the royalties they still get. And i'd say they would still be getting a few because they are such an awesome band... They'll be getting Heaps for the CSI's anyway...

That's why I said he has to keep his dignity, becuase he already has it.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 12-21-2004 08:25 PM

So what did I miss?

Ive seen that Legends of rock infomercial its good but I would never buy it because I have most of the songs.

That's about all you missed.

Creedence Clearwater 12-21-2004 08:34 PM

infomercials? the start of all great classic rock

Woodstock 12-21-2004 08:58 PM

Oh noes, did we forget George Harrison's death anniversary? It was November 29.

jpj 12-21-2004 09:02 PM

No we didn't. Someone said to have 5 minutes of silence and noone listened

clown_phobia 12-21-2004 09:14 PM

George Harrison is a great guitarist in my opinion. Really melodic.

Woodstock 12-21-2004 09:18 PM

Yep, he always had the perfect tone for a song. And he did become pretty skilled later in the Beatles career.

Badmoon 12-21-2004 09:21 PM

Screw you guys, Polyphonic Spree are cool.

I got samples.

clown_phobia 12-21-2004 09:22 PM
Screw you guys, Polyphonic Spree are cool.

What are you talking about? This makes no sense!

Badmoon 12-21-2004 09:28 PM

It's outside discussion ;).

clown_phobia 12-21-2004 09:32 PM
It's outside discussion ;).
All right then. If that's what you want deep down in your heart :thumb:

What is everyone's opinion on Led Zeppelin III?

BludgeonySteve 12-21-2004 09:35 PM

I think it's a great album. Very creative and diverse.

We try not to talk about Led Zeppelin in here though. So no more about them ;). There's an offical led zeppelin thread for that.

clown_phobia 12-21-2004 09:56 PM

Official Threads

Alright, i'll submit to you wholely.

But then again, nearly every band has an official thread now.

Oh well, whatever.

Illmatic 12-21-2004 10:48 PM

Me no likey Led Zeppelin.

III is okay, but other than that...meh.

TerryThorne 12-21-2004 10:51 PM

That's odd, your favorite zep record is the least-selling of theirs and dont like everyone's favorites.

Illmatic 12-21-2004 10:52 PM

I am what I am.

Mekkalayakay 12-21-2004 11:25 PM

1. Who sings Mrs. Robinson?
2. In Waynes World II, when Wayne is trying to stop the marriage and he's in the convertible, what is that song that is playing? "do dodo do do dodo". Is it Mrs. Robinson?

/so confused and in need of that song :upset:

BludgeonySteve 12-21-2004 11:26 PM

1. Simon and garfunkle.

2. I have no clue. That movie was so great I didn't pay attention to much other than story.

Mekkalayakay 12-21-2004 11:27 PM

I'll download it and check.

Thanks.

edit: Yeah, I own it. One of my favorite movies. The soundtrack to both Waynes World I and II is awesome.

gmoneyguy 12-21-2004 11:27 PM

S&G is awesome.

KARMAPOL1CE 12-21-2004 11:31 PM
S&G is awesome.
If you guys like Simon and Garfunkel, you should check out the Norwegien band Kings of Convenience. They are amazing.

gmoneyguy 12-21-2004 11:35 PM

That I will do.
That I will do.
They harmonize so well, and play acoustic guitars with just as much talent.

BludgeonySteve 12-21-2004 11:44 PM

Paul Simon is one of the best fingerpickers i've ever heard. I'll see if I can download something by them and check.

magicbus 12-21-2004 11:47 PM

We missed Rick Danko's death also. He died on Dec. 10, five years ago.

gmoneyguy 12-22-2004 12:34 AM

AHHHHH...... This killing me. What album is Hey Jude on. Im not good with remembering what songs are on each album.

gmoneyguy 12-22-2004 12:39 AM
..Hey Jude
blue3 12-22-2004 12:40 AM

blue3 12-22-2004 01:09 AM

RockAndRoll 12-22-2004 01:40 AM
