I had a friend who had one before. It sounded terrible. I wouldn'y buy it. Then again, it was played with a terrible Ibanez with a squier amp.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-17-2005 09:45 PM

I have an RP300A. It's the same thing, but with more effects and such. I'd get it, but just so you know, it's not for bass. Look for a BP series processor, as they are Digitech's lower end bass effects processor.

My friend actually has that same exact pedal. It's very good. I guarantee it was the guitar/amp.

hmm.

How much would a normal bass effects pedal cost?

Anyway I am off to bed night all.

Huber 07-17-2005 09:51 PM

I always thought multi-effect pedals weren't good because my friend always talked down about them.

Is this a myth or what?

My guitarist and toehr freinds who have em say they work just fine. Ive never seen one mal function

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-17-2005 09:53 PM

They're awesome! There are so many different things that you can do with them. You can emulate basically any tone, and create numerous unique ones. Granted, there are some that you really don't need, but for the most part, I'd consider my Digitech to be a great deal.

Futuro 07-17-2005 09:55 PM

for distortion sounds, the cheaper ones, are very weak, but pair it with a boss metal zone, and your all set.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-17-2005 09:58 PM

I get all of my tones from mine. Stinkfist is very dialed in. I have presets for Jones' typical sound, Stinkfist, and 46&2. I also have a decent Tom Morello tone, plus a myriad of my own stuff. I find clean tones to be harder to emulate, just because with distortion, you don't have to be exactly spot on to sound similair to what you're trying to get.

Mr Herb 07-17-2005 09:59 PM
Dude is anyone else supppsoed to play the stinkfist part on bass? Am thinking about dedicating a lot of time to that song in the next couple of days but I most know if its worth it.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-17-2005 10:02 PM

Yes, noone else is planning on doing it, since MagicalTroll backed out. It wouldbe great if you could do it. :thumb:

Oh, and you could probably find a BP pedal for the same as the guitar. Look on http://www.musicansfriend.com

Marshall- This King Crimson track is owning me right now. It's freaking awesome! I'm going to add In the Court of the Crimson King to my "to buy" list of cds. :-D Thanks again for the song.

Dude3 07-17-2005 10:04 PM

For the covers, do we need any guitar recordings? I'll be glad to contribute if we do.

He does draw symbols on his pads, but I want to know what that symbol means. They always have one on stage, and I see it often in other Tool related stuff.
