Listening to another new Slayer song. God this is ****ing ghey. Not to mention the thinnest, weakest guitar tone I've ever heard. I've heard punk bands from the late 70s have more filth in their sound. Not mention, they think they can pull off breakdowns apparently now.

Some guy over on Thrash Unlimited said that the album is surprisingly good; very moody/atmospheric (like Seasons, I guess) and made it seem that besides Psychopathy Red, the other two released songs don't do the entire album justice.

I hope that's the case and he isn't bullpoopting...but I highly doubt it.

Psychopathy Red does that album justice? I better not listen to the other released singles then.

idk I really enjoyed Psychopathy Red and the feedback on that song has been pretty positive...the other two songs, not so much.

Personally, I found that song pretty bad, ESPECIALLY Tom's vocals. They're like rusty nails being scraped onto a chalkboard.

I read the giant article in the latest Guitar World about this new album...

And if Psychopathy Red is any hint as to the rest of the album... Let's just say I'll be really surprised if Megadeth ends up with the better album. But it's really looking that way.

Epic ****ing riffage. The sound is really cleaned up though. The vocals are wayyyyy to ****ing monotone, but there's lots of massive *** riffs in that album.

wasn't there some press release saying there were like 200 riffs on it

Best modern day thrash has to be agoraphobic nosebleed, there new album agorapocolypse is one of the best thrash/grind albums i have had the pleasure of listening to in a long time, the way scott hull programs the drums is flawless and if any of you mother****ers disagree lick your dead nan
