well im home from my second day of work. and i successfully burned myself.

a rush caught us all off guard, and our pizzas were depleting rapidly. in order to combat the rush, we were all on strict duty to pop out as many pizzas as possible. after i had constructed mine, i put mine in the oven. unfortunately, a mind lapse caused deadly circumstances. i viewed one of my co-workers pulling their pizza out of the oven, and saw that they had put their 550 degree pan on the top of the rack of trays. my mind lapse kicked in and i went to grab one of the trays to work on a new pizza. unfortunately, i managed to grab the 550 degree pan, no more that 5 seconds after it had been pulled out of the oven. initially i didn't feel it burn as much as i heard my skin sizzle, at which point it hit me. i was holding a very very hot pan. i dropped it to the floor and hollered the first word that came to mind. "F'UCK!!!!!!!" i yelled, at which point everyone in the restaurant stopped eating and looked over at me in total confusion. at this point, i tried to contine to work on a pizza, but the pain was unbearable. i went and rinsed my thumb off for minutes on end, and then returned to my pizza, continuing to pop out pizzas until the rush died down.

what a hero.

poppinfresh 11-08-2005 11:04 PM

Aaron 11-09-2005 03:44 AM

well i only bought one head today- 14" CS reverse-black dot. ooooh im converted already. i was real skeptical about it for brush work, but i love the dot because you get alittle resistance for down strokes and so you get abit of bite when slapping with brushes. also, it tuned in alot quicker into its range than the normal ambs i've been playing. i got a reeeeeally meaty, low tuning, and then a nice mid range, and then a nice crack. im impressed monsieur remo! haha the reason i only bought one is because i got a lift with my mum and she said i had 5 mins and it was either wait around to get the EMAD down, or take a piss... guess which i needed more?

edit: and it was only $16.95!! i'm australian!!!!!

Sultan of Smoothies 11-09-2005 04:08 AM

I'm in a sixth form college, but my timetable is really heavy, so I never get to leave early, I never have a free period last thing, and theres no time for going home for one period as it's a 40 minute walk each way. :(

But on the plus side, our college serves slush puppies. But I don't like slush puppies.
