The Arcade Fire - Funeral Haven't listened to this for a while. Still dig it. |
The Beatles - Revolver
Best Beatles album, no question.
I've been listening to that today too  . And I agree - best album without a doubt. |

Best Beatles album, no question.
Word up. |
Fatboy Slim
|
Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
Got their first album on vinyl - cool, cool stuff. I love how the last groove on the record is locked, so it repeats the last drone forever. |
Devin Davis - Lonely People of the World, Unite!
Ted Leo & the Pharmacists - Hearts of Oak |
Belle and Sebastian - Tigermilk
David Bowie. Ziggy Stardust Aladdin Sane Heroes Low
I really want to get into David Bowie again. |
The Beatles - Revolver
Best Beatles album, no question.
Indeed. I'm listening to some pissed off music because I'm a bit pissed off. |
I really want to get into David Bowie again.
I've been listening to lots of reggae this week, Really enjoying Burning Spear and Black Uhuru right now.
Also my Guns N' roses fascination is rolling on, it's a bizarre yet highly satisfying mix. rock outto Guns N' Roses, then chill out to some reggae. |
Liars - Drum's Not Dead
Destroyer - Destroyer's Rubies The Fiery Furnaces - Bitter Tea |
Neil Young - Keep On Rockin In The Free World and My My, Hey Hey
Neil Diamond - Delirious Love |
The Beatles - Revolver
Best Beatles album, no question.
Absolutely, my 2ND favourate album ever!! |
Pelican - Australasia
Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden Amusement Parks on Fire - s/t yeah that's a good mix of stuff. That's the first time for a while that i've listened to anything by Talk Talk other than Laughing Stock, because what's the point when Laughing Stock is so perfect. Spirit of Eden is nice too though. |
I have Mono. The illness, not the band.
So I've been diggin' stuff that isn't necessarily suited for people stricken with mono, but I'm pretending it is anyway: -Mastodon - Leviathan -Friends of Dean Martinez - Random Harvest -a rap mix playlist containing: Deltron 3030, Cannibal Ox, Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Sage Francis, The Pocket Dwellers, The Roots, De La Soul, Jedi Mind Tricks, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and 2-Pac -Mogwai - Mr. Beast -Down - s/t -Acid King - III Mmmm.... these jams take my mono and make it seem like stereo. Mayhaps even like Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround, if it wasn't for the fact that I'm just using a pair of stereo computer speakers. |
Still digging those stated above as well as these:
The Books - The Lemon of Pink (Seeing them in concert on 4-6) Jackie-O-Mother****er - Flags Of The Sacred Harp (Really a kickin album, highly recommended) |
The Vines - Highly Evolved
Whatever. I still like this album. |
Dub Tractor - Hideout
and Sébastien Roux - Songs |
"A Classic Arts Showcase" is definitely the highlight of Worlds Apart from Trail of Dead. Appropriately epic and grandoise for this band, and I can't get enough of that song (as well as the two adjacent songs "Caterwaul" and "Let It Drive").
Also Clouds Taste Metallic by Flaming Lips. I keep accidentally typing "metallica" when I type that album title :( |
The Ladies - They Mean Us
Aside from "Empathy On a Stick", these songs are pretty weak. I like this solely for the drumming.
Ya, I just got this too. Its not stunning but its 3/5 material for me. |
