i wish the same thing because truth be told i really dont like ebm at all

in fact like, most industrial i dont like lol

i kinda got hamstringed into being an industrial musician cuz of my vocal style i guess i use a lot of distortion and people are like omg industrial so it kinda went from there

but in reality i use distortion more because of influences like DEP and mike patton, not crappy ebm music where the singer whispers into a fuzz pedal

most people I know associate it entirely with industrial metal, or at the very worst nu-metal

it's kind of annoying but I expect that.

the only really dedicated industrial artists i listen to are NIN, skinny puppy, combichrist, marilyn manson, deathstars, samael, rammstein, and...maybe a few others

and the funny thing is none of those bands are industrial first, its always like...black metal industrial, or rock industrial, etc
