Ride On was on the radio earlier :thumb: do stations near you all play just the hit songs, like Back in Black, or do they play lesser known songs also?

Brew 06-17-2005 12:33 PM

I don't listen to the radio...whenever my Dad has Planet Rock on they normally play the popular songs though.

LTBR has probably gotten more time in my CD player than Highway to Hell, or at least as much.

AB/CD 06-18-2005 11:21 AM

what r u on about let there be rock is overrated people always talk about songs off it like whole lota rosie let there be rock bad boy boogie and hell aint a bad place to be

Brew 06-18-2005 11:55 AM

I ripped Let There Be Rock from vinyl to my computer yesterday, I thought it was a solid album.

Scoot 06-18-2005 12:52 PM

A lot of their songs have no originality, but some of them do. Most of their songs do sound relatively the same.

guitaraddict21119 06-18-2005 01:38 PM

I think AC/DC is the best. Yea their songs sometimes sound the same when you first listen to the song. But that is just the way they put their songs together; Intro, Verse, Pre Chorus, Chorus, Verse, Pre Chorus, Chorus, Solo, Chorus, End Song. But after you get into them its all good.

AB/CD 06-18-2005 01:39 PM

the songs have similarities but not that many works for the band y not stick to it u no i mean like its better to stick to what your good at instead of doing a metallica and going i want a bigger fan base

Ballsack_AC/DC69 06-18-2005 02:53 PM

At least they are consistent, not always changing like Metallica going we want more fans.

AB/CD 06-18-2005 02:58 PM

i just said that

Ballsack_AC/DC69 06-18-2005 05:34 PM

Yeah well, copying is the sincerist form of flattery.

AB/CD 06-18-2005 06:16 PM

WYWH is a great album. Is Aussie Pink Floyd that cover band?

AB/CD 06-18-2005 07:33 PM

emmm yo can we stick to AC/DC not ****ing pink floyd

rippa32 06-18-2005 07:57 PM

Sorry. I was wondering when someone would say that. So does anyone here have the single Dave Evans recorded?

Ballsack_AC/DC69 06-18-2005 08:14 PM

Rippa32 better go to R&M Request/Upload thread for better results.

rippa32 06-18-2005 08:17 PM

Actually I meant on a vinyl record.

Ballsack_AC/DC69 06-18-2005 08:20 PM

Oh, I don't think that it was ever realeased on vinyl, expcept for maybe as a single.

rippa32 06-18-2005 09:54 PM

Thats what I meant. He only ever released a single. It was Can I Sit Next to You Girl and on the B side it was Rockin in the Parlour. Its very rare.

Ballsack_AC/DC69 06-19-2005 02:03 AM

Try the offical AC/DC fansite, go to the chatroom, those kids proably it.

Yeh, they're amazing.

Don't worry AB/CD, its not as bad as over in the Sabbath thread when we get n00bs asking about Ozzy's solo band.

//

I ripped Fly on the Wall to my pooter earlier, it's an alright album.

SmashingPumpkin 06-19-2005 02:11 PM
All of their songs sound exactly the same to me.
I agree. They're highly over-rated.

guitaraddict21119 06-19-2005 03:59 PM
I agree. They're highly over-rated.
The only way i think they are over rated is because you get all these little poser kids wearin their shirts so they can be cool. But you have to admit they have really good riffs. AC/DC kicks anis. they are my favorite band of all time.

AB/CD 06-19-2005 05:40 PM

fly on the wall is a great album but not many people give it a chance becos of the crappy production which was done by angus and Malcolm
