Yeah I know how you feel. I couldn't find KIMB anywhere in Canada. I had to leave the country to get it!

Reidie86 02-28-2005 03:04 AM
Peace Sells is blood catchy, I like it alot :)
I like the slow balled type intros to the last few songs too. I'm happy I bought it, good buy :)
Just need KIMB! Unfortunately it's available nowhere in Australia though.
not true mate :thumb: i picked it up from a JB high fi store......

Reidie86 02-28-2005 03:10 AM
Youthnasia is deffinitley the best Megadeth album of the latter days, where Megadeth went more melodic towards the end of their carreer this rocks just as hard as RIP, deffinitley a good album.
The rest are good too, I was a little disapointed by So Far.. but there's still some good tunes off it.
:)
Youthanasia has 3-4 good songs on it (reckoning day, a tout le monde, addicted to chaos and train of consiquences) ...... interms of their "latter days" stuff you cant go past countdown, or even the world needs a hero ( its more consistant, however its good songs arnt as good....if that makes sence...) and the system has failed.

I was a little disapointed by So Far.. but there's still some good tunes off it.
good call, when i listen to it i only listen 2 into the lungs of hell, hook in mouth and in my darkest hour

Lord Abortion 02-28-2005 03:17 AM

Despite how its looked down on by many for being a sellout album, I love Youthanasia. Addicted to Chaos, Train of Consequences, Killing Road, Elysian Fields...All great songs.

Really?!
I live in Canberra, there's a JB like 20 minutes away, I don't usually go there, but I did go there looking for both KIMB and Peace sells (Since no other store I checked had them) and JB didn't have them either, I just ordered Peace sells off HMV, and unless I can find a store which stocks KIMB I'm guessing that's what I'll have to do.

Lord Abortion 02-28-2005 03:42 AM

yeah... it's a pretty good album that I should listen to more I think
but if I listened to all my albums more, there would be no time for sleep... sleeping is for sissies anyway!

worst album covers?
cryptic writings... its a big compass thing?

SFSGSW I probably pick on too much but I just don't like the cover ... or the album much

four uses of ellipsis in one post?
YES!!

Arise II 02-28-2005 04:28 AM

Youthanasia, despite being a crap album, is almost worth buying simply for the awesomalicious cover :)

Chu 02-28-2005 04:40 AM

MEGADETH coming to Australia, probably their last tour, right?
Should I go?

Po0sH 02-28-2005 05:48 AM

OF COURSE!!!!! Dude, why would you ever doubt going?

Chu 02-28-2005 06:38 AM

Well, I dunno.. I really want to go, just money and stuff.
It's only something I'll do if it's really worth it, so I'm asking people who have been to a 'Deth concert before.

MAthiAS 02-28-2005 11:02 PM

Why can't you?

thelittledrummerboy 03-01-2005 03:50 AM

I got "Rust in Peace" the other day. To be honest i was dissapointed. Theres some good songs, some great songs but is overshaddowed by not so good songs, imo.

Also, theres alot of Aussies in this thread :thumb:

If Dave and his boys come Down Under, it may be tempting to attend this epic adventure.

April 14th to 16th
Melbourne (18+)
Sydney (All ages)
Brisbane (18+)

I live in Canberra, so I'm deciding between Sydney and Melbourne.

ThrashMaster27 03-01-2005 05:28 AM

Oh yes. I'll be on my way to the Melbourne gig for sure. I hope the tickets are reasonable though....they should be, it being at the Palace and all.

KILO5203 03-01-2005 08:06 AM

what do yall think of youthanasia? i got that album the other day and i think its pretty awesome.

btoto 03-01-2005 12:11 PM

I bought Peace Sells and TSHF 3-4 hours ago.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the origianal Peace Sells version so I bought the remastered one. Although it's got 4 more tracks mixed by Randy Burns :thumb:

Great album, though one of Deth's worst. Reckoning Day, Train of Consequences, A Tout Le Monde, Killing Road, and Victory though...

thaycallmeiam 03-01-2005 12:20 PM

Its idiots like you that make Mustaine and his fans hated.

And if Metallica kept him Megadeth never would've formed, and Mustaine probably wouldn't have been as driven to write such great music, being as how he wanted to be faster and heavier than Metallica.

I think that the remastered version is better. I really like the remastered version of "The Conjuring.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-01-2005 09:03 PM

Did dave re-record or change any parts in these remasters? i want the peace sells remaster, but ill download the original if he has screwed around with it too much.

No rerecording, just remixing and remastering. I have most of them and they're all better than the originals I think.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-01-2005 09:31 PM

thankyou

drummerman 03-01-2005 11:15 PM

Does anyone have a link about why Ellefson quit or got fired from Megadeth?

Arise II 03-02-2005 01:49 AM

Ellefson (wierdest name ever, BTW) wanted more money from Dave than his contract said he should have (which was actually a pretty low sum) so he sued Dave. 'Course, after that, they couldn't really play together

madthumbs 03-02-2005 01:51 AM

Ellefson sued Mustaine for 18.5 million and lost.

Im hopefully going to get backstage when they play in Melbourne:D
