All the songs that don't make the album will probably make it to the internet or an ultimate AFI collection with a bunch of other B-sides and stuff.

no, they'll never be recorded, just disappear. then some lyrics will be released in the next issue of Under the Rose. the couple that get recorded but not on the album may be released at a later date as part of an ep or for a soundtrack or something (like how rabbits are roadkill is on the myspace comp)

and april-may would be spring....they now say early summer (hopefully)

Pizza 02-12-2006 01:17 PM

is there cool stuff in the Under The Rose magazine? i want to join the df but i dont have the money. i hope the cd comes out in april.

xJeff_Chordx 02-12-2006 04:16 PM
They should release like 5 different albums at the same time.
yeah ther's like fritch interviewing hunter by IM and davey interviewing someone from another band and jade interviewing a drunk smith...lots of interviews of or by the band basically...and unreleased lyrics, they've had "what im listening to now" sections...

I've just discovered AFI recently... until then I've just been a big ska fan.

The only cd i've bought was the compilation that Nitro put out, Which I only recently figured out was a sort of Greatest Hits type deal.
When I asked My friends which album they thought I should get, they said Sing The Sorrow was their best. But seeing as my friends Have terrible taste in music I thought I'd ask the actual fans.

1/3 skilled 02-13-2006 07:51 PM

well sing the sorrow is not terrible its just different then there older stuff. but i like it alot. if you liked the compilation cd thing cheack out black sails in the sunset i think its the closest to that.

maco 02-13-2006 11:27 PM

i second the vote for BSITS. know that song on there, God Called in Sick Today? yeah, that's from BSITS. that's their best album, IMO

Hep Kat 02-14-2006 03:07 PM

Art of Drowning is my favorite, so I would recommend that.

Pizza 02-14-2006 09:28 PM

i would say art of drowning. then black sails. just get both and you will be happy

Pizza 02-14-2006 10:14 PM

does anyone know the link to the guitar clip jade posted somewhere. something that was going to be used on the new cd. i cant find it anywhere

Gnarmageddon 02-15-2006 06:20 AM

SYMAOYE just took over BSITS in the position of my favorite AFI album. I listened to it a few times yesterday in my car.

1/3 skilled 02-16-2006 10:41 AM

i still need symaoye

Sleeper 02-16-2006 05:58 PM

SYMAOYE and BSITS are my favorites by far, both have there great songs.

Hep Kat 02-16-2006 07:13 PM

I abhor SYMAOYE.

I think it's their worst album, by far.

Sleeper 02-16-2006 08:56 PM

It's definitly the most agressive, but i can't help to like it.

Pizza 02-16-2006 09:01 PM

very proud and art of drowning and shut your mouth are my favorites (in that order). black sails used to be my favorite but now its not. im really getting into sing the sorrow now too. **** it, their all great

ZaaR 02-16-2006 09:04 PM

Sign the Sorrow is amazing, I'll fight that to the death.
Sign the Sorrow is amazing, I'll fight that to the death.
it is amazing. i cant believe how people say it sucks. dancing through sunday is one of my all time favorites

Sleeper 02-16-2006 09:15 PM

Yes, alot of people bash that album. But it has so many good songs, and it is a more mature sound from the rest.

Pizza 02-16-2006 09:19 PM

yeah i agree completely. now i'm listening to it again. ha

Gnarmageddon 02-17-2006 08:07 AM

Every time I put on STS, I think I'm gonna be switching songs a lot, but I can always listen to it all the way through. Not really any bad songs on it.
It's definitly the most agressive, but i can't help to like it.
123. Every song has a catchy chorus, and most have amazing backup vocals/yells.

METS 02-17-2006 08:39 AM

Yeh STS is one of my favourate albums ever, the whole album has such a great atmosphere to it, I never skip tracks either, the whole thing just flows.

Pizza 02-17-2006 06:28 PM

yeah it flows great.
and allofmeoliveme, what does 123 mean? i see that a lot but i dont know what it means

Sleeper 02-17-2006 06:49 PM

I know the question was direct to allofmeoliveme, but 123 simply means to agree with what the person is saying.

Pizza 02-17-2006 06:59 PM

ohh ok. thanks.

nightbringer 02-18-2006 06:07 PM

It appears the guys have finished doing a photoshoot for new album promotion.

A new photo is on their myspace ... they have new cuts.
