Does anyone else here have the song Turn It Up We're Going Down by Crowned King? Dave does the solo for it and they're a ska band, it's a pretty good solo.

chops 09-01-2005 08:11 PM

can you upload it?

TheBassicBassist 09-03-2005 06:54 PM
can you upload it?
no, I have an extremely slow internet connection and it would take me a couple hours to do that, but I'm sure you could download WinMX or the free version of LimeWire and just get the song for free, I'll search and make sure it's on LimeWire...................................OH YEAH, it's all over that mother

I recently started listening to Sum 41. I was kinda iffy after hearing their early stuff, but "Chuck" and "Does This Look Infected?" are both excellent albums. I bought "Chuck" the other day, and I'm going to buy "Does This Look Infected?" soon. It's great how much they've evolved their music.

You should have bought DTLI first, it's a much better album.

DrummerKevin 09-04-2005 12:06 PM

I like them both, and they didn't have "Does This Look Infected?".

TheBassicBassist 09-04-2005 02:36 PM

Who cares which one you get first man, as long as your getting them both then that's awesome :thumb:

TheBassicBassist 09-04-2005 07:37 PM

Wow, I finally got Punk No Die and it's actually a really cool little compilation, turns out the version of Astronaut I have is just a 43 second sample of it, on the tape it's like, a two minute song and it's amazing for being 2 years before Half Hour of Power was even a thought

Fish 09-04-2005 07:47 PM

my brother plays the song No Reason over and over again every single day and now i hate sum 41 because he plays their stuff constantly full blast 24/7! i cant take it anymore! its been like 3 weeks!!! i used to love them! ahh!!

Pierre Trudeau 09-04-2005 07:48 PM

ehh, probably not so much.

It's a tad overrated... the first one was better

I can still stand them. Just not their new stuff besides Pieces and 88. I like those tracks.

Angry Balled Fists! 09-05-2005 12:45 AM

Alexpc007 09-05-2005 02:41 PM

Fish 09-05-2005 03:56 PM
Q: What is their newest album called?
guns_of_brixton 09-05-2005 03:57 PM

Thanks. I'd heard of it, but I thought they came out with a new one after that. I'm weird.

last I checked they're tour dates were decreasing rapidly, I'll check again later, but that might mean something, might not, let's just hope

TheBassicBassist 09-06-2005 06:26 PM

yeah, there's only four shows left on their official list

Date Location Venue Notes
Tue, Sep 6 Ottawa Congress Centre w/No Warning
Thu, Sep 8 Montreal, PQ Stade Uniprix w/Yellowcard & No Warning
Fri, Sep 9 Stratford, ON Stratford Ovation Ovation Music Festival w/Simple Plan
Sun, Sep 11 Quebec City, ON Agora Du Vieux w/Yellowcard & No Warning

chops 09-08-2005 06:16 AM

This may not concern sum41, but since they are touring with them, i recommend listening to No Warning. I saw them live with sum 41 a few months back and they really surprised me. so much that i bought their cd. Listen to "bad timing" that's an awsome song.

yeah, they were in the Lucifer Recommends section of the dvd's that came with my DTLI cd's, and I hate them, that's my opinion

chops 09-08-2005 07:30 PM

meh everyone has their opinions

TheBassicBassist 09-08-2005 09:37 PM
meh everyone has their opinions
very much agreed, but Autopilot Off was also in that section of my dvd's and they were really good

TheBassicBassist 09-08-2005 09:39 PM

also, does anyone happen to know what Chuck was going to be called before they called it that? I knew for ten seconds one time and I'd REALLY like to know again, if any of you guys are in Good Platoon and get Meet and Greets, then go ask the guys, they will know surely

Bad Blood 09-09-2005 11:50 AM

It wasn't going to be called anything before they called it Chuck.

When 'Chuck' took Sum 41 to safety in a U.N Deryk was joking around saying they are going to show their respect and name the album after him.

When the they were at the time of thinking of a name, Deryk (i think) brought up the idea of calling it 'chuck' and they all thought it was a good idea.
