Hopefully they will play newcastle so i can go see them.

rippa32 05-06-2005 03:51 AM

I am lucky living in Australia. Although I never seem to get many good bands come here. Iron Maiden comes to mind.

Bon_Scottie 05-06-2005 03:54 AM

Maiden are coming here soon. Hope to go see 'em, I know my dad would love to.

Going to see Motorhead in November too. Can't wait for that, 30th anniversary tour, so it will be a big show.

Like I said before, hope AC/DC they come round this way once they've produced the album.

rippa32 05-06-2005 04:12 AM
They did say that they didn't want it to be just another album. Brian claimed that Malcolm and Angus are perfectionists, and have been in the studio constantly trying to perfect the new tunes.

As you said, Brian says that the boys have lots of material. Hopefully this means that AC/DC are back with the hard rocking riffs we've been used to. I doubt it'll be a double disk, but if everything is going as good as they claim it is, then you never know...
Yeah, didn't he say that they might release a double album?

AC/DC is alright in the studio. However, they are amazing in concert. They have one of the best shows I have ever seen. But it does get repetitive.

Linkzone1 05-06-2005 04:29 PM

They aren't bad...just not as good as bands they are rated over.

I've heard them on the Donnington DVD. They're pretty amazing.

blue3 05-06-2005 09:30 PM

Yeah, I've seen the Donnington DVD too.. the sound is great

rippa32 05-07-2005 04:04 AM

AB/CD 05-07-2005 04:26 AM

u mean let there be rock right class videomy dad got it when it first came out and gave me it :D

rippa32 05-07-2005 04:52 AM

Would you say better than the footage on Family Jewels?

AB/CD 05-07-2005 08:12 AM

yeah its good like on rocker when Angus goes into the audience on the gaurds shoulders an all its just a great show cos of the energy Angus had back then he could run about a lot more then than he can now

Bon_Scottie 05-07-2005 09:12 AM

Hell yeah. It's sad that the band have to age...

That being said, in all fairness he still tries and suceeds.
Where do you live Bon_Scottie?
Cardiff, Wales.

El_Pistolero 05-07-2005 01:43 PM

Family Jewels Has some really great footage (i.e. It's a long way to the top)
and AC/DC is definitely one of the most influential rock bands of all time

acdcroker 05-07-2005 02:57 PM

Who is your guy's favorite drummer phill rudd, simon wright, or chris slade? Mine is chris slade even though he wasnt with them very long.

punkster998 05-07-2005 03:03 PM

Phil Rudd can hit the drums pretty fucking hard if you ask me.

Bon_Scottie 05-07-2005 03:34 PM

The drumming department when it comes to AC/DC never really needed much effort, but my favourite was probably Simon Wright, just because he also played with Dio.

Phil Rudd fits in with the bands main line up though. Simon Wright I suspect as a drummer always wanted to play those quick tempo hard rock beats, as he did with Dio.

AB/CD 05-07-2005 04:08 PM

chris slade was just a session player always has been same with simon wright AC/DC couldnt get permanent drummer for the band

Alex1422 05-07-2005 06:14 PM

Ac Dc are the best ****in' band ever!!!

Alex1422 05-07-2005 06:16 PM
chris slade was just a session player always has been same with simon wright AC/DC couldnt get permanent drummer for the band
Chris Slade is better than any other Ac Dc drummer. just listen to Thunderstruck. Yes, he is better than Phil Rudd

BludgeonySteve 05-07-2005 06:19 PM

AC/DC doesn't have very good drumming in general. But nobody listens to the drums on an Ac/dc song anyways ;)

AB/CD 05-08-2005 04:29 PM

chris slade is just a normal drummer in all honesty he cant be that much better than phil rudd is phil can play the exact same things and the drums on thunderstruck r more basic than the majority of things phil can play and chris is still only a session player he played for tom jones **** sake
