How bout Dead to Fall??
They're fun as hell, my band opened for them last fall.

Nepenthe 06-27-2007 09:42 PM

Dead To Fall is pretty effin bad. I've only heard The Pheonix Throne, but it was really hard to get through.

i am the robots 06-27-2007 09:43 PM

Listen to Everything I Touch Falls To Pieces
Hahaha, yeah right moron. Norma Jean's new album copied Botch so fucking bad it isn't even funny.
Dude, you seriously thought I was being serious? Just listen to Amnesty Please, it's like We Are The Romans condensed into one song.

Nepenthe 06-27-2007 09:45 PM

Eh after Phoenix Tree I really don't want to, but I won't not listen to it if I ever come across it.

i am the robots 06-27-2007 09:53 PM

I honestly don't see what's wrong with Phoenix Throne, but then I've been into Dead To Fall for a while.

Nepenthe 06-27-2007 09:54 PM

There wasn't anything in particular that was bad about it, there's just not anything of interest at all. It didn't grab my attention once through the whole thing.

i am the robots 06-27-2007 09:58 PM

I hate you forever.

Pretty much, yeah.

Nostalgia 06-27-2007 10:11 PM

The above post is pretty much all I have to say to you.

i am the robots 06-27-2007 11:38 PM

So Blessthefall is incredibly generic, eh?

Nepenthe 06-27-2007 11:43 PM

Pretty much any band with multiple words made as one is incredibly generic. Hopesfall and Bydeathsdesign somehow defy that, though Bydeathsdesign is actually pretty generic, just really good.

i am the robots 06-27-2007 11:48 PM

Hopesfall's great. What I was getting at is that I'm a homo and enjoying Blessthefall.

Now I must check out Bydeathdesign.

Also, everybody, make it their mission to find any recordings of Tell Her I Said Goodbye, or if recordings of them even exist, because, anything with Anthony Gunnells, Rich Turbeville, and Dayton Cantley all involved in it has to be good.

Nepenthe 06-27-2007 11:56 PM

Go to http://www.myspace.com/bydeathsdesign and listen to Icarus.

That album, Don't Test The Universe, has quite possibly the worst bass drum ever. It sounds like the drum is made of paper. But it's a ****in excellent album nonetheless.

for fans of Everytime I Die, Dillinger Escape Plan, Fordirelifesake

listen to Black Tie Knife Fight

http://www.myspace.com/theminortimes
for fans of Botch

Nepenthe 06-28-2007 01:05 AM

The Minor Times are good. I heard them on the Robotic Empire compilation they're on, and I got Making Enemies, but I've kind of forgotten about it and haven't listened to it yet. I'll give it a listen soon, seeing as they've a new one coming out.
