i was going to write an essay for an avatar but before i do, i was wondering if the avatar sizes are truly going to be upped? before i waste 20 min writing for something that i can get for free in a few days...

It's not permanent, no. The update comes from when mx updated vBulletin, and he hasn't gone and adjusted the avatar restrictions yet.

It'd be good if we had like just a small powered mod who could delete posts and close threads, we don't need another super or anything, just someone who can take care of small stuff.

Jason won't be in the US forever, and on occasions like this when there are less mods that usual you can always just report problems in the site forum and wait for a super to clean it up.
