They're mediocre. I had Animal but it was really boring so I got rid of it.
no no no, it's not boring, you just have bad tastes, that's all.
no matter what it's all I see.
 |
no matter what it's all I see.
I can't stop thinking about mappy's penis either tbqh. |
It's such an item.
dong dong dong dong |
Ding Dong Dead!
|
Yeah, you have good tastes though, along the lines of Job For A Cowboy and Bring Me The Horizon.
|
Ding! dong! the dick is dead!
(Which old dick?) Jerry Falwell! Ding! dong! the wicked dick is dead! |
Yeah, you have good tastes though, along the lines of Job For A Cowboy and Bring Me The Horizon.
Actually Maps does have pretty good taste, minus JFAC.
Ding! dong! the dick is dead! (Which old dick?) Jerry Falwell! Ding! dong! the wicked dick is dead!
Is he really? |
Yeah, you have good tastes though, along the lines of Job For A Cowboy and Bring Me The Horizon.
 good point but Animosity deserves more credit than most "deathcore" bands, they're fairly unique and actually pretty good. |
Yeah, you have good tastes though, along the lines of Job For A Cowboy and Bring Me The Horizon.
It's acceptable to listen to bands that sound identical and don't have side-parts/wear girl pants though! ATTN Hbp: I form my own opinions, holy hell! |
 good point
but Animosity deserves more credit than most "deathcore" bands, they're fairly unique and actually pretty good.
i like how they're all young guys yet they dont play the traditional deathcore like BMTH and Job, i think they're a pretty good band |
Except for the fact that BMTH and JFAC don't play deathcore, while Animosity does, idk.
|
are you serious
BMTH is deathcore albeit a watered down version And JFAC are just plain bad. |
The Doom EP is awesome, everything else is boring.
BMTH went from sloppy metalcore to melodic death with breakdowns. Notice I said melodic death with breakdowns, not deathcore? Two different things. |
Eh, deathcore is still an easier term to use and is generally right.
The only good part of the Doom EP is the scream at the beginning of Entombment of a Machine. I doubt he can pull that off live though. |
 good point
but Animosity deserves more credit than most "deathcore" bands, they're fairly unique and actually pretty good.
I just don't really like them. They didn't impact me like the "deathcore" bands I mentioned did. |
That's because they're not hyped up by the sites you draw your opinion from.
Eh, deathcore is still an easier term to use and is generally right.
No, Bring Me The Horizon is melodic death, just like TTEOTD is.
The only good part of the Doom EP is the scream at the beginning of Entombment of a Machine.
And all of the guitarwork, albeit it's simple, but it's well written. Not to mention all of the vocals on the album. Oh and the drumming's great, even if the footwork's a bit slow.
I doubt he can pull that off live though.
That's because it's a clip! |
I'm perfectly comfortable with people calling bands of a certain aesthetic/scene "deathcore". I really can't call those bands death metal because they really lack any type of extremity and it's mostly just watered down, contrived bullshit.
I just don't really like them. They didn't impact me like the "deathcore" bands I mentioned did.
I don't know how you can like ASP and think Animosity is boring. I personally find ASP really boring and repetitive.
/long live subjective opinions |
It's still not deathcore though. There's a difference in sound between a band like Bring Me The Horizon and say, Animosity, Stick To Your Guns, or Despised Icon.
|
No, Bring Me The Horizon is melodic death, just like TTEOTD is.
Well I consider TTEOTD deathcore, so idk.
And all of the guitarwork, albeit it's simple, but it's well written. Not to mention all of the vocals on the album. Oh and the drumming's great, even if the footwork's a bit slow.
The vocals are boring. Too much breeing and the music is flat and uninspired. :\
That's because it's a clip!
Oh. Cheap then. |
Yeah I know, I'm not talking about the musical aspect of things because BMTH and JFAC are most certainly death metal from that perspective. I just feel like it's death metal made by -core kids for -core kids.
|
TTEOTD isn't deathcore though, regardless.
As for the vocals on the Doom EP, lot's of variation between highs/lows/mids/brees, it's not monotonous at all. And the music's just simplistic, that doesn't mean it's flat. |

Those sites, ya know, all they ever rep is the finest deathcore oh wait, that's an oxymoron. |
No, you're just a 15 year old who needs to shut up and listen to what people who have been into the music for more than 6 months have to say.
NOTICE: just because death metal fans who don't know what hardcore is dislike something, doesn't mean it's bad. |
TTEOTD isn't deathcore though, regardless.
And is actually good/doesn't recycle other bands' material/uses breakdowns tastefully and to good effect/HAD killer vocals.
NOTICE: just because death metal fans who don't know what hardcore is dislike something, doesn't mean it's bad.
I know what hardcore is. I listen to alot of metalcore that most metalheads would dismiss as trash before even hearing it because of the tag. I just feel like most of the death metal associated with the various -core scenes are ripoffs of ripoffs of ripoffs and gay up their music/lyrics to appeal to -core kids. |
Agreed.
|
TTEOTD isn't deathcore though, regardless.
Doesn't "deathcore" just mean death metal fused with hardcore? I hear that in them.
As for the vocals on the Doom EP, lot's of variation between highs/lows/mids/brees, it's not monotonous at all. And the music's just simplistic, that doesn't mean it's flat.
Bleh |
The only hardcore influence I hear (actually, it's metalcore influence but whatever) in TTEOTD is in some of their breakdowns where the same line is repeated so the crowd can sing along. That's pretty much it.
|
I don't hear any more hardcore in TTEOTD than any other death metal band.
|

Is he [Jerry Falwell] really [dead]?
population_of_hell++; |

NOTICE: just because death metal fans who don't know what hardcore is dislike something, doesn't mean it's bad.
Dude, you're so fucking stupid. I name bands of your favorite genre I like and you say my taste sucks because I don't like a band you do. Then when I proceed to defend why I don't like the band you cum all over the keyboard and say some stupid shit about how dumb I am. You easily have some of the worst things to say in places you don't belong, so take your discussion where people care and get the fuck out of here. |
