Lord Abortion 06-30-2005 03:04 AM

I'm incredibly pissed off, there's an austrailan school cricket team outside showing off to the girls, bastards...

Stoic 06-30-2005 03:09 AM

what else would you expect them to do? :p

vocman 06-30-2005 03:22 AM

I never understood cricket...weird sport
I never understood cricket...weird sport
I love cricket
but have an incredible urge to go out and pick a fight

I'm bigger than most of them anyway...

vocman 06-30-2005 03:28 AM

but they have bats :)

Stoic 06-30-2005 03:28 AM

isnt school over yet?

Lord Abortion 06-30-2005 03:30 AM
isnt school over yet?
no it isn't, not in England for my year :upset:

EDIT:: why are there no straight metal bassists in the poll!?

NJMetalMeister 06-30-2005 03:49 AM

yeah university isnt over in germany either, we go until july 15, which blows.

In another note, somehow my plane ticket home in july got messed up and i had to buy another one, so instead of it costing me only like 800 to get home, its costing me like 1800. Bleh. I wish i remember the reasoning for it, but i was drunk when my mom was explaining the situation to me, so i wasnt all there.

Lord Abortion 06-30-2005 03:52 AM
I wish i remember the reasoning for it, but i was drunk when my mom was explaining the situation to me, so i wasnt all there.
yeah that's a problem... that's what you get for being in Germany though

NJMetalMeister 06-30-2005 03:53 AM

i would have had the same problem if i was in a country that is not germany. It just happened to be a bit rowdier than usual because of the soccer games last night, and the final, brazil/argentina was here in frankfurt. Quite nuts. I may just have to fly back out here for the world cup next year.

Didn't Araya get through?

Lord Abortion 06-30-2005 04:24 AM
Didn't Araya get through?
in this poll there are none, the tool bassist is debatably metal, I don't know enough to classify them

NJMetalMeister 06-30-2005 04:26 AM

while tool has some hints of metal here and there, i would not call them a metal band by anymeans

Arucard 06-30-2005 05:40 AM

 Bats.

Anyway, im off to band practice. See you guys in about 3 hours.

also, i just finished up my last term paper, time to celebrate, and i think this smiley face says it all :smoke:

Stoic 06-30-2005 07:12 AM

X12ouncesofhateX
will you miss Germany and the europian way of life?

NJMetalMeister 06-30-2005 07:21 AM

Some things i will miss, some i will not so much.

things i will miss:
1) Döner Kebabs
2) indian fast food
3) easy train rides to get to any town or city
4) not doing anything in school except at the end of the semesters

Things i will not miss:
1) writing term papers (i study comp sci, so never have to write them usually)
2) having to hear crap from just about every european that is not from the UK or ireland (for some reason those guys are different) about their opinion on america and american politics every time they find out im an american
3) not having a car (i miss that like no other)
4) Super high prices for everything in germany, especailly frankfurt
5) language barriers
6) extremely small supermarkets

Stoic 06-30-2005 07:27 AM
2) having to hear crap from just about every european that is not from the UK or ireland (for some reason those guys are different) about their opinion on america and american politics every time they find out im an american
 you would hate me
extremely small supermarkets
how's that? Are you used to shopping from the large typical US shopping centres?

Bartender 06-30-2005 07:30 AM
Hello thread.
This is the sort of thing you're banned for in the first place, you know. Please stop it.
4) Super high prices for everything in germany, especailly frankfurt
Isn't stuff like property much cheaper? I know there's some difference like that, anyway.

What has magik uploaded For Red Dwarf Fans? I need to know if it's worth downloading, since it'll take me ages :-/

NJMetalMeister 06-30-2005 07:31 AM

the supermarkets in the US are beyond huge compared to every supermarket ive been to in europe. Granted i can find most of what i need, but the variety is very limited. like i would say the average supermarket here in germany has maybe 5 or 6 aisles worth of groceries, and then a produce section and a dairy section. Average supermarket near my place in the states is about 25 aisles plus a produce and dairy section. Very big difference

Edit: Tender:

Dunno about property prices in germany, seeing as i never looked into buying land here at all, although they do have a very large property shoratage which is a problem, so i would think that prices for property are fairly high at the moment, and the red dwarf thing was remember the dream sequence cat had where they were all singing and dancing? yeah that song in mp3 format

Taste_My_Scythe 06-30-2005 07:34 AM

I'm pissed off because my mom think I'm obsessed with this board. She's made me stop getting on for a few days. And stop downloading. I'm still downloading (and will whenever I can) but just that I won't be able to get on here that often sucks big time. See you all around.

Stoic 06-30-2005 07:37 AM

indeed 739 posts in a month is obsession :p

EDIT

In fact I've always wondered how can some people have so many posts. Come on guys, what's your secret?

It's a song called "Tounge-Tied" and it's only 1.55MB.

PS: I predict ten minutes, based on my experiences with 56K :)

Ah. I think I'll leave it for now; I've got it on DVD, video and cassette tape already. Might get it later, to put on my mp3 player.

Well, some people spam.

Stoic 06-30-2005 07:50 AM

yeah 1.55 MB is about ten minutes. 56k suck, I'm so happy with my brand new adsl connection :D
Well, some people spam.
Most regulars, including you, dont. I guess you just have an opinion on everything :p

mutual boredom, that and for some reason i find this board extremely entertaining when im stoned, which is often enough.

Well I've just been here a long time.

Pit regulars spam, more or less by definition.

I have to disagree. Rob Trujillo looks like a retarded horse.

Arucard 06-30-2005 08:35 AM

Well, i got the new Freaks Union albums. Uploads will follow after i play AoE 2 against my friend.

Kingofdudes 06-30-2005 09:25 AM

Everyone's PPD have shot through the roof. Some people that had the same post count as my 2 months ago have 2 - 4 thousand more than me now.

magicbus 06-30-2005 10:02 AM

Does anybody know if Stuart Hamm is in the bassist polls?

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-30-2005 10:26 AM

Gilmour- Yeah, I was noticing the fact that you and Pete had the same post count not too long ago, and now, he has ~2k more than you.

Ramsey- Perhaps that's what he was trying to say..:shifty:

Josh 06-30-2005 10:29 AM

'sup mx. i now only have 5 days of school left 'til my summer holidays :) no school tomorrow, its a teacher training day.
oh, and Ollie (lord abortion) is gonna be the deputy head boy next school year.
my postcount is still climbing, slowly.
NP: Rush - Freewill

Woah, I got repped last night for reporting a stupid thread.

Nice :)

Anyways, I'm sitting here in my boxers listening to some good music and trying to figure out where I want to apply for a job.
Woah, I got repped last night for reporting a stupid thread.

Same here man. SonorKen has allways been a nice guy when giving out rep.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-30-2005 10:41 AM

Me too.

So right now, I'm trying to learn the intro to Dirge for November. It's so beautiful, but I can't seem to get it right. It's a little bit more difficult than anything I've ever attempted, so I'm venturing a bit out of my comfort zone with this one.

Speaking of boxers, man you guys should see the ones I picked up at TJ Maxx a couple days ago! There black and silky and they have multi-colored chili peppers on them. :lol:I'd take a picture, but uhh I'm not sure I'd trust it in the hands of Madey. :shifty:

Neurotoxin 06-30-2005 10:46 AM

I just bought 2 new pairs last night. They're really silky.
