On October 14th, 2009, the Toronto Police Service issued the following press
release:

"A 19 year old male reports that on October 14, 2009 at approximately 1400
hours, he was in the area of Military Trail and Morningside Avenue, when two
male suspects approached him from behind. The suspects engaged the victim
in a conversation. One suspect produced a handgun and removed the victim's
chain from his person. The same suspect made a second demand for the victim
to remove his wallet from his pocket. The victim complied. The suspect
then removed cash from the victim's wallet. The suspects fled the scene
eastbound towards Morningside Road. No injuries were sustained by the
victim. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying
the following described persons in connection with this offence.
Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 24 to 29 years, 6' to 6'3", black
eyes. Suspect #2: Male, black, 24 to 28 years, 5'7" to 5'9"."





Should you become the victim of a robbery please attempt to remember the
following:



During a Robbery

* Remain Calm
* Obey the robber's commands
* Do not antagonize the robber
* Consider all firearms to be loaded
* Look at the robbers - notice details to aid you in describing them
and their mannerisms. Note age, weight, height, clothing, tattoos or scars
* Take note of the weapon
* Watch the direction the robbers take - if they use a vehicle, try to
note the licence plate number


After a Robbery

* Call the police immediately! Dial 9-1-1
* Give your name, telephone number and the address of the hold-up
* Give a description of the suspect(s), direction of travel, and a
licence number if a vehicle was used
* Advise whether or not weapons were used
* Ask witnesses to wait until the police arrive
* Co-operate with the police
