ok, everyone go to www.simonapple.com and check out the mp3s they have under the music section(only on "from the toolbox" and "archives"). their pretty good and completely unknown.

i found out about them when i saw "tommy" live. their guitarist and drummer were in the band and were very capible of the spots.

puppet.master 11-07-2005 06:15 PM

Yeah I know.. I actually love eating paper.. yes with salt and pepper.. not too much sauce though.. also I prefer the lined paper.. it has a more tangier taste versus the construction paper kind.. yeah the construction paper is like the steak of the paper family its alot more rugged and tough... *sigh* yup, yup....

The Ska Man 11-07-2005 09:03 PM

Loyton 11-07-2005 09:05 PM

Tim 11-07-2005 09:06 PM
O and what snare should i get?
how much ya got?

Loyton 11-07-2005 09:10 PM

150 about, i dont dig the chad smith as much as other people. I mostly like the sound of metal snares, Ive only played steel i dont know what brass sounds like. Im thinking a sensitone? If you think investing 100 more is going to make the differnce between a ok snare and a WICKED AMAZING ONE let me know. Im pretty good with tuning so i think its all good.

styler 11-07-2005 09:12 PM

pff i got banned for a day for "dumb stuff"

i recomend the chad smith snare, overused now, but great none the less.

Got any audio? I know it doesnt help to much if you dont have to much recording stuff, but got any audio on hand? ive always been a fan of the deep steel snares.:thumb:

-TheGlassPrison- 11-07-2005 09:30 PM

Black Panther.

Loyton 11-07-2005 09:34 PM

yea, i quite like the looks of many black panthers as well.

On a side note, DBJ said the HHX ozone crash was one of the best cymbals if not THE best he had ever heard. Can i get a confirm/deny if he was being sarcastic? Because i rather like the audio samples.

6.5" isn't that deep really. i'd say 7.5 is getting deep..

Loyton 11-07-2005 10:03 PM

6.5 is deeper than normal. 5.5 is normal, anyhting past that is deep, and anything under that is shallow.

(thats how i see it anyway)

BTW ****ing awsome avatar/personal name thing.

rockindrummer 11-07-2005 10:12 PM

I would look into sensitones man. Awsome snares for an awsome price. If you can get A bp for the same price then that would be a really nice snare aswell.

-TheGlassPrison- 11-07-2005 10:16 PM

O-zone crashes have a very dark sound to them.

They are very VERY thin though, if you are a hard hitter, watch out..

Ha cool. But yea its NOT standard.:thumb:

And to TGP, very think eh? Are they pretty trashy? they rather sound like it. I was planning on doing some riding on it and china grooving (metal style) think it would..... withstand? Ive backed quite a bit off hard hitting, but i dont know sometimes when everything is cranked with about a billion watts flyin throu the air i just like to lay the smack down...... Hm ill ponder it thanks.

rockindrummer 11-07-2005 10:53 PM

Hey man, use the one that comes with the kit. You'll probably not gonna want a new one after you try it out.
