Badmoon which one of these concerts has stuff from Shakedown Street on it?

Oh and someone just said "The Who were good, but the drummer was nothing special." I hate people.

If you want to here the best cover of "Walk this Way", check out String Cheese's last featured show.

Seafroggys 11-11-2004 12:48 AM

Illmatic 11-11-2004 12:53 PM

Has anybody hear heard "Pickin' on Zeppelin: A Tribute"? It's a bunch of Zeppelin songs done bluegrass-style. I thought it would suck but it's actually pretty cool.

BludgeonySteve 11-11-2004 12:58 PM

That's like the Metallica tribute: Fade To Bluegrass.

And bluesgrass songs are a compliment, darnit. :)

I saw that at Wal-Mart(greatest place on earth) is it any good?

There's also like a string quartet tribute to Zeppelin it's pretty cool.

I don't know if this will work for everybody since I got it off AOL, but click on the picture of Robert Plant and a video of plant and page doing Black Dog should come up. Does anyone know how old this performance is?

Ha, bitchin'. His voice isn't as good as it used to be though.

I'm guessing it's pretty recent. Page looks asain.

Woodstock 11-11-2004 02:06 PM

I think I saw that video on Yahoo before, it was a special performance in the early nineties.

I cant stand Plant's voice, it's horrible now. Plus, they completely took out the main riff to the song.

I like Badfinger, my dad has a ton of their singles.

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-11-2004 02:35 PM

Cool I just heard the songs "Baby Blue" and "No matter what". Pretty good I think.

drugstore cowboy 11-11-2004 02:36 PM

Trivia time...anyone know how Badfinger got their name?

Agreed.

That video actually kinda just made me mad.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty horrible.

jpj 11-11-2004 02:39 PM

I don't understand why they took out the main riff. It's one of the best guitar riffs ever IMO.

Probably because Jimmy and the new bassist cant play it anymore.

Seafroggys 11-11-2004 02:41 PM

Hmmm, Badfinger is sweet. I first heard them when I watched Magic Christian....pretty sweet music.

Day After Day is such a...how do I describe it? Warm fuzzy song that's pleasurable to listen to.

However I doubt that since I can play it

Almost every artist has a Bluegrass tribute. Gov't Mule just had one.

*refering to the previous discussion on the tributes*
