Has anyone used a drumometer before? Like I thought the people that got 1200 strokes in 60 seconds were super human, but now that I have used the thing that kind of speed seems easily attainable with the numbers I'm getting right now.
i get like 4k tbh

Haha don't mock it man, there is no way in hell I would ever pay full price for something like this. I got it for like $50 brand new from that cargo shipment place I posted about in the media forum. Even if the drumometer part of it was 100% worthless it is still a good practice pad and a working metronome for a good price. Plus I actually think this will turn out to be a good practice tool for things like seeing if my high speed double stroke rolls are actually being played perfectly cleanly (5's 7's etc...)

oliv_da_skinmasher 05-10-2008 05:31 AM

Janeway 05-10-2008 02:09 PM

I've been knitting since 10:00 this morning.

And I've achieved a whopping total of 30 something rows. One small swatch of about 7 or 8 rows, and then I started on a scarf that I fucked up and am really pissed about.

=/

tbh if you're going to make a bunch of the same design to sell, you should look into cheap screenprinting. would be way easier overall.

BummerJonny 05-10-2008 04:31 PM

so ubuntu is finally working....

i'll probably switch back to XP when i get tired of it...

The best thing about ubuntu is you never have to reformat because of crapware slowing down your computer, it will run great forever. The bad thing about ubuntu is you can't play any video games with it. Other than the gaming problem I would never switch back to XP unless there was some sort of proprietary software that I absolutely needed.

BummerJonny 05-10-2008 04:43 PM

im with ya on that tbh

i love using it

if it had all the functionality as XP there'd be no contest

TimJim 05-10-2008 06:30 PM

bummer

Iodus 05-10-2008 06:32 PM

Dude, install qtemu or xen, they're virtual machines, you can make them run xp,
then you'll have all your games or whatever.

It is bit of a bitch to get working though

Most games are still not supported by emulators like those because they still don't have xp's actual infrastructure. I have used WINE to run a few programs, but they run EXTREMELY slowly and you have to run everything in opengl since there is no direct3d engine in ubuntu. Also there can be huge sound capture problems with emulators because the games they run aren't compatible with OSS/ALSA.

Harrow 05-10-2008 06:49 PM

Man I'm downloading groove essentials but it is only going 15 kbs >_<
