Pin it on some cute girl with horn-rimmed specs and take her to prom I dunno

iarescientists 04-01-2008 09:11 PM

perriwinkle 04-01-2008 09:14 PM

i want 2 kick u 2 ;-*

where do you live lets have an mx gathering

this summer we need to have a DC-area mx gathering

of sorts. it will be wondrous

negrodamus 04-01-2008 09:14 PM

i could easily meet perri seeing as he lives in Virginia.

perriwinkle 04-01-2008 09:16 PM

wanna cum 2 the mx DC area gathering this summer

asdf 04-01-2008 09:27 PM

I could meet a few MXers, but I've only met two and been around another one without talking to them (and much later running into their ex girlfriend oddly enough). I don't really intend to meet any of you folks.

perriwinkle 04-01-2008 09:29 PM

imagine though how cool it would be if we were all flown to some place and we all mingled and verbally spammed wearing name tags with our usernames and you could be like OMG LOOK ITS U

OH and like there would be a different room designated for each forum and people would walk in and out and be like look at these fags in R&M lol

asdf 04-01-2008 09:33 PM

No, it would be awkward. We're barely socially adept online, we would be a bumbling mass of elitest nerds, looking at our feet and biting our fingernails.

YDload 04-01-2008 09:35 PM

it would be fine as long as there's music playing. and hey asdf we're both lefty bassists so lets jam jam kick it to the man

negrodamus 04-01-2008 09:36 PM
No, it would be awkward. We're barely socially adept online, we would be a bumbling mass of elitest nerds, looking at our feet and biting our fingernails.
this. it would be cool to meet up with some people from the forums. go smoke some pot and chill to some records.

asdf 04-01-2008 09:37 PM
We're barely socially adept online,

so lets jam jam kick it to the man
Yeah, sure YD.

It also just occured to me that I don't know your name, Mr. load.

YDload 04-01-2008 09:38 PM

why do you guys think it would be awkward?? all you have to do to not be awkward is to be able to converse with people on a given subject. since we all can't shut up about music, this would seem like a relatively easy way to break the ice.

asdf 04-01-2008 09:44 PM

I don't know. I guess I'm just speaking from experience of meeting an MXer (meeting DRybes was awkward, meeting Alex was not really), and from my own experience of being myself and knowing full well I'm awkward and nerdy.

YDload 04-01-2008 09:46 PM

ahahahahaha DRybes. jesus. you poor thing.

Liebensaft 04-01-2008 09:53 PM

There's a very good chance I have been in a room with 2-3 mx'ers before, unknowingly. There's a fair chance I"ll meet one for really real. Probably Sam if anyone.

asdf 04-01-2008 09:55 PM

Yeah. Long time ago. We stood outside a venue and talked. A picture of me and him still exists, but I think only a friend of mine has it, and I would prefer if it just dissapeared.

It became a big problem when he drove me home from the venue, and a few days later my parents found out.

God, I've been posting for much too long.

YDload 04-01-2008 09:57 PM

i waited outside the same venue as mentalsteph for that MTB show that was sold out. neither of us got in. we didnt meet either.

asdf 04-01-2008 10:04 PM

MentalStephanie was pretty cool. You've clearly been posting on here to long too.

First I met DRybes, then I went to an Against Me! show that FlagJacket was at. We saw eachother but didn't talk. Later I ended up meeting one of his friends at a world/inferno show, and then that same guy and FlagJacket's ex at a Ghost Mice show. They talked about how I Kevin said he knows me from a message board and it was awkward.

And I met Alex aka Zappa aka Thanks last September. He hangs out with my brother at college.

Zmev 04-01-2008 10:07 PM

I had a plan to steal a xbox with dfelon but that fell through.

pixiesfanyo 04-01-2008 10:27 PM

luckily have never met any MXers

Kage 04-01-2008 10:45 PM

Or so you think

pixiesfanyo 04-01-2008 10:54 PM

uh oh.

perriwinkle 04-01-2008 11:40 PM

spaghetti o's

Anxious 04-01-2008 11:47 PM

I have never met any mxer's and I don't see that happening in the future.

asdf 04-02-2008 12:33 AM

Dom are you really sending me shirts to stencil on?

Anxious 04-02-2008 12:37 AM

Yes.

okay 04-02-2008 01:03 AM

never met any

class 04-02-2008 01:33 AM
I have never met any mxer's and I don't see that happening in the future.
same

Anxious 04-02-2008 01:39 AM

I've met last.fm people. Generally, they're cool.

class 04-02-2008 01:41 AM

It's not that I wouldn't meet someone from the interwebs...it's just that I could really give a **** about anyone tbh.

Tyr 04-02-2008 04:10 AM

I have met Riva, which is a bit weird since he lives in Australia, but he came through here on a Eurotrip.

Iai 04-02-2008 05:25 AM

I went to college with like 3 other regular MXers. clearvision, Distorted_Vision, and someone else whose s/n I forget. Knew them all on here before meeting them IRL.

sgrevs 04-02-2008 05:33 AM

I met Evan (big80smullet / free the paedos) at a minus the bear show in February. Good times.

AFragileHope 04-02-2008 05:34 AM

Meeting mxers/sputnikers IRL is cool. Only met one so far but he was sound.

class 04-02-2008 06:14 AM

MTB ftw...I went to one of their shows like last summer or I don't remember when....it was cool, we saw jake snider outside of the club like 45 minutes before the show...we were hammered off whiskey and he seemed like kind of an asshole, so we didn't bother him, just head nods and quick talk as we passed by.

br3ad_man 04-02-2008 07:00 AM

I didn't think the Minus the Bear show I went to was worth the money I paid for it.

class 04-02-2008 07:02 AM

Hm..I liked it...played a bunch of new and old songs...was only like 90 people there...loud...etc...they played a few songs that people were yelling out too...so that was cool.

I also tried to get drinks at the bar...but before I got to the bartender I panicked and dodged out. (i'm 20)

Jacaranda 04-02-2008 07:04 AM

i'm sure i've been somewhere that montana has.
