Anxious 12-11-2007 12:19 PM

I never realized how awesome Deerhoof's drummer was until last night. Excellent show. They plowed through songs chained together by improvd noise for the first half hour, hardly stopping.

Bukowski 12-11-2007 12:28 PM

Ditto when I saw them. I was really surprised as well with his drumming, and the way he coordinates and holds together the band's erratic sound is very impressive. Seeing them live made me appreciate Deerhoof's music much more, as I hadn't been a particularly big fan beforehand. Do you know who the support band was? When I saw them it was Holy F'uck, who were cool.

I'd say Greg Saunier is probably the best drummer I've seen live, with the exception of the wonderful Damon Che of Don Caballero.

Anxious 12-11-2007 12:43 PM

The drummer definitley is the glue that holds the band together, the rest of the band were just in for the ride that he laid down.

The openers were BlackBlack, some plain indie pop band, and Faun Fables which were like a generic New Weird America Band mixed with the Pogues. Interesting.

It appears I have a cyst on my head.

huzzah!

Anxious 12-11-2007 04:01 PM

On your head sounds better than in your head.

Boilermaker 12-11-2007 04:08 PM

This is true. It's right in the center of my hair line. I looked some stuff up and it's either a fatty tumor or a cyst, but I'm probably gonna go with a cyst. If it was a fatty tumor I wouldn't be too worried though either because they're usually benign.

Zmev 12-11-2007 04:23 PM
I've had a really sore mouth for the last few days so I went to see the dentist yesterday and he said I need to get 3 wisdom teeth taken out. He gave me some pills to take, so I've been taking them but I'm still sore.
Yea, I have to have my wisdom teeth taken out over Christmas Break. It sucks. Everyone I've known who has had them taken out has had to eat through a straw for like a week. . . Or been perfectly fine like, the next day. I'm pretty sure I'll fall into the former category, unfortunately. . . .

Eliminator 12-11-2007 06:01 PM
my wisdom teeth are in and they don't hurt at all
You're a lucky bastard.

My wisdom teeth hurt like HELL when they grew in. Had to get them removed, but I was completely fine after the pain killers. Moral of the story, get prescribed really strong painkillers. Weak ones will not cut it.

Anus Invader 12-11-2007 06:06 PM

bastard

Zmev 12-11-2007 06:09 PM

I got them taken out and went to In n Out that night.

Plus the Vicadin made work fun/doable.

Montana 12-11-2007 06:38 PM

My wisdom teeth are still in, too. Maybe they will just stay there.

I hope not, though, I like that Vicodin stuff.

YDload 12-11-2007 06:42 PM

Zmev 12-11-2007 06:48 PM

I'm writing my second to last research paper of 2007 in tiny increments every hour, in other words very lazily.

He actually just had it removed this monday, after almost two years of people telling him to.

biografiend 12-11-2007 07:50 PM

My wisdom teeth are coming in and they hurt so bad :( I always accidentally hit the most sensitive one with my toothbrush . But, they're coming in straight/I have enough room, so I don't have to get them removed.

Anus Invader 12-11-2007 07:54 PM

its fun seeing what you would look like as a fatty

Glitterati 12-11-2007 08:36 PM
I always accidentally hit the most sensitive one with my toothbrush.
I just avoid that problem by never brushing my teeth!
