This "Grind Wit" Benighted song is one of the worst DM songs I've heard in a long time. And I don't even mean the unnecessary French rapping, because all the phat beatz are lame as ****.

Really? It wasn't nearly as good as Identisick for sure, but it was better than ICP.

I wasn't listening that closely to be honest. It was just really plain from what I was hearing, and Grind Wit was just inexcusably terrible .

At least Grind Wit is lulz worthy.

Agreed there. Bland is the perfect word for it, although i love the intro song

Benighted are more of a band I'll listen to for certain songs anyway. amazing band for early morning drunken walks home haha.

I bought Dark Tranquility - Fiction (I think they're deathmetal right? I dont wanna post in the wrong thread). I really like it but on the one song where the vocalist actually sings he sounds just like the dude that made that Chocolate Rain song. It almost made me laugh. Anyone else hear the similarities?

They both have incredibly deep voices, but Mikael's got the thick Swedish accent. You'd get a better response in the melo-death thread though.

Hahahahaha, agreed. I find something about this band's sound completely unbearable.

They're decent but they dont need to release the same album bi-yearly.

Each DT album sounds sort of like the last one, but sort of different, I like the direction they progressed in until Character. Fiction's good, but Character was just so much better.

I feel the same way about Darkest Hour, they progressed real solidly to Undoing Ruin, climaxed, and now they're kinda, eh. I think it's working with Devin Townsend. :/

[I]Character[/I] and [I]Gallery[/I] are both masterpieces;
i still remember when i first listened to DT some years ago - it was Character and it blew me away... it still does, whenever i listen to it.

Fiction just isn't that good... i agree with Cocaine that they just should not re-release the same album every year; on the one side its good, cause they still play the same music i love and don't change it that hard like In Flames f.e. did, but i think, it could be the reason why Fiction has a lack of creativity;

The only DT songs I can stand are Punish My Heaven and Damage Done. The rest can blow me.

Crimson Winds is an awesome DT song...
