Well, considering our last FG was something that's neither rock nor metal, I'm sure it would be fine if you posted something bluesy here. I know letmypeopleho had a pretty successful Chopin thread that wasn't stickied, so maybe a brief blues education as a preamble would be nice.
Perhaps a Featured Genre + Artist at the same time?

Jom 06-14-2005 06:12 PM

You would have to speak to both Dancin' Man and Med, then.

Rothmans 06-14-2005 06:13 PM

So what is the truth behind that larsagri crap?

i am the robots 06-14-2005 06:31 PM

Med, glad you're popping in, I have a FA on Into Eternity done.... well actually it's a music project, but I feel like expanding on it.

Jom 06-14-2005 07:05 PM

Don't f*ck with larsagi! He keeps MX tidy and likes Beatallica.

EDIT: he also loves his excessive use of punctuation and the :thumb: smiley.

lunch998 06-14-2005 07:11 PM

Med: Sign me up for a Cream FA, since it doesn't have to be done for like three more years.

Oh yes, the best smiley known to man!

I'm eating chips and salsa, and listening to Smashing Pumpkins.

Cain 06-14-2005 08:16 PM

Evening folks. Scythe004 yelled at me for being so rabid in my hatred for the new Star Wars movie today, that was a needed reality check. I still hate it, but I went too far beating down the same points. What else is new?

Illmatic 06-14-2005 08:21 PM

Me and my girlfriend got into a fight today...it was resolved, but still, it was jarring.

ATM 06-14-2005 08:23 PM
Star Wars is gay.

No, I'm serious this time. Those are some of the stupidest movies I've ever seen.

The first 3 are classics!

If you think they suck, then what movies do you consider good?

Cain 06-14-2005 08:23 PM

Prequels or trilogy? If the former, I agree. If the latter, prepare to die.
Me and my girlfriend got into a fight today...it was resolved, but still, it was jarring.
Fights with significant others always are. I'm always walking on tenterhooks for the rest of the day after a fight.

jpj 06-14-2005 08:27 PM

I'm eating a hot dog :)

The prequels certainly aren't classics like the originals, but I still think they're enjoyable films.

Illmatic 06-14-2005 08:30 PM

I'm not too crazy about Star Wars, to be honest.

Hot dogs: a Thanksgiving tradition in West Virginia

ATM 06-14-2005 08:31 PM

Not being crazy about Star Wars is fine, but saying they are the stupidest movies ever is going to far.

NP: Lux Occulta - Gambit

BludgeonySteve 06-14-2005 08:32 PM

According to nerds, it was a good movie. So i'll believe them.

/still hasen't seen it

It sucked. Continue not seeing it.

Do you guys know who Robert Crumb is?

My dad and I were watching a documentary on him today, he is bizzare.

Illmatic 06-14-2005 08:35 PM

The first one was an ok kid's movie, the second one was pretty good, and the third one was stupid. And the prequels are terrible. Overall, I don't get the fuss.
he is bizzare.
No, that talentless fat dude from D-12 is.

But I have heard of him, and he is weird.

ATM 06-14-2005 08:36 PM

Hey Ray, what do you think the odds are of me finding a Funkadelic DVD?

If you ever run into a hardcore Star Wars fan, and say it was a kids movie they will mos def bus out their light saber on you.

Illmatic 06-14-2005 08:37 PM
Hey Ray, what do you think the odds are of me finding a Funkadelic DVD?
I haven't been able to find one.

Their parents would punish them if they actually used it and broke it, so I'll take my chances.

You can get Parliament Funkadelic on Amazon.

Broken link :/

But I didn't think to check Amazon, thanks man.

I'm debating on asking for NiN tickets for my bday.

Well, her favorite trilogy isn't really a movie, though.

It's the Triple Crown: Belmont, Preakness, Kentucky Derby...

Can someone tell me which book is the best by HP Lovecraft? I'm going to buy a book tomorrow and I want one from him. Help me out.

Bartender 06-14-2005 09:27 PM

I think his short stories are generally his best, aren't they?
Do you guys know who Robert Crumb is?

I do, and he's pretty cool. I haven't yet seen that documentary, though.
