lol, did you just go back and read Dargon's old posts, realize he was the coolest person ever, and now you wanna be just like him? Go away kiddie, you're useless to us here.

I think what Solitary is trying to say is this:
**** off non-elite |
I think what he's trying to say is:
MOM I ASKED FOR A ****ING STRAWBERRY JAM SANDWICH WHAT IS THIS ****ING WILDBERRY BLEND? WHERE'S MY ****ING CHOCOLATE MILK, I'M NOT GOING TO SCHOOL UNTIL I GET MY CHOCOLATE MILK!!!! |
Perhaps you guys should realise that I've never resorted to arguing like a kid. It seems like you guys arn't interested in some actual discussion and would rather waste your lives away with meaningless crap.

how is metal inherently anti-christian? it's not
why let the "scum" invade? a lot of the christian metal I know if f-ckin old school so I don't know what you're talking about. There's no invading. They've been around as long as the other old school death bands I listen to. There's plenty of great non-christian metal to listen to? Sure. There's also a lot of great death metal that I already have. I guess I should stop looking for more since I already have plenty, amirite? I don't care what the band I'm listening to sings about. If the music is good, then the music is good. f-ck off other opinions imo |

Your juvenile attitude begs to differ. |

example. |
Metal is a way of life, you must live by it's lyrical themes, simply taking it as a type of music you enjoy is unnaceptable.
|
example.
...
Christian metal should not be supported as metal is in itself anti christian and a force against Christianity. Why allow that scum to invade metal? And what christian metal is little more than cheap ripoffs of anti christian metal? There's plenty of decent non christian metal out there. The fact that you're an atheist means nothing to me.
|
So what does metal mean to you?
...to quote the man with the right idea
Metal is a way of life, you must live by it's lyrical themes, simply taking it as a type of music you enjoy is unnaceptable.
|
Heh, weak. I've really got far better things to do that waste my time with this bollocks.

drama in the death metal thread.

Solitary are you an ANUS kiddy?
|
lol, I knew he wouldn't have a real response, if you have better things to do then by all means, leave.

I was being sarcastic, but you knew that.
Metal is just a goddamn music genre. That's what it means to me. Sure there's more anti-christian bands than christian bands, but metal itself is not inherently anti-christian. The non-vocal elements of music can't really be pro or anti anything imo. Music gets that type of meaning either from knowing the intent of the composers, or listening to the vocals. If you found out your favorite band's guitarist went to church every sunday, even though he wrote "anti-christian" metal, would his music not be good anymore? Sure I might be a little disillusioned he was just putting up an image, but it has no affect on whether the music is good or not. We have no idea what most of these metal musicians true beliefs are, so why hate on christian metal if it sounds good? |

I see metal as an artform that communicates a belief. Thus it's important what the metal communicates. If you don't see music as art I think you're just treating metal as an entertainment form, not as something deeply meaningful. I think it's important that Christan bands are rejected because then it keeps the meaning of metal strong. In a community that rejects Christianity explicitly why tolerate something that will drag the music's meaning down? |

I considered it worthwhile to reply when he gave a decent post. I mean, fucking hell, how weak Eliminator. |

The meaning of metal is not affected by Christian bands being rejected, that's retarded. It isn't dragging the music's meaning down, its just that particular band has a different meaning than another band. |
ill agree with solitary, take underoath for example; define the great line is a huge rip-off of transilvanian hunger in every aspect.

I haven't heard Transilvanian Hunger, so I didn't know about that. I certainly don't respect people ripping off other bands. |
Usually the lack of any capitalization signals sarcasm of the highest degree.

Do you think metal is an anti christian genre?
|
Ok, so I'm really into Nile and Cephalic Carnage. Any other good bands amongst the same grains?
|
You'd probably like Vital Remains - Dechristianize
|
:)
I like. |
Cephalic Carnage is kinda boring as ****.
|
No, they aren't.
|
Cephalic Carnage is kinda boring as ****.
You're out of your mind. |
It's cool they write songs about weed and stuff, but I just can't get into them. They do have one REALLY good song, though. I think it's called Exhumed Remains or something. It's mad good.
|
I don't care what he is talking about, the music is good.
|
Do you guys know the song I'm talking about?
|
I know that song, it's good but not that good. They have much better tunes.
and yeah, i dont give a **** if they talk about shitting inside their mom, the music is damn good. |
