Grego1985 04-21-2006 08:01 AM

Whats the cover Bodom did of Bowie? Is there a tab for it on MX?

Apocalyptic Raids 04-21-2006 08:15 AM

I wasn't aware they did a Bowie cover.
Is there a tab for it on MX?
You could always look...

MRDuCran 04-21-2006 09:01 AM

No Bowie, maybe you're thinking of Billy Idol??

Please go HERE, and look at the answers under "Q: What cover songs Children Of Bodom have recorded?"

Thanks

Shadows Within 04-21-2006 10:39 AM

repcak 04-21-2006 11:10 AM

Alexi > Steve :smash:

/no, not at all... but i like alexi's style far more than steve vai's

blue3 04-21-2006 11:13 AM

What?

repcak 04-21-2006 03:35 PM

someone of you have learned "Unleashed to the slave stick" by Nile. is this a hard song or intermediate?
the most difficult thing is the string skipping right? anything else?

The string skipping can be a bitch if you don't practice it everyday.

I haven't been practicing the song over the last week and I have to practice the string skipping over & over to get back to where I had it at.

It's mostly just fast.

The GP, PwrTab and MX tab are off. If you want the tab, I'll link you.

MRDuCran 04-21-2006 04:04 PM

I was gonna record that today but I couldn't be bothered to program the drums.

There you go.

repcak 04-21-2006 04:25 PM

hm... at the first look it seems to be the same as the one on mysongbook.com

MRDuCran 04-21-2006 04:30 PM

It's very similar but with a few position differences.

Unless there's a new one on mysongbook?

That's correct. I actually play it in DADGBE and have my tone heavy as hell. That actually works fine.

repcak 04-21-2006 04:32 PM

i play everything in e-standard :(
It's very similar but with a few position differences.
i think i will stay with the GP-tab.

and yee shall be cursed into a firey hell......

LOL! Nile in EADGBE?

That'll be funny! Dude just go to DADGBE and it works.

repcak 04-21-2006 04:36 PM

i know its sound funny in EADGBE ... it sounds so "optimistic", but most of the things i practise is in e-standard and i'm to lazy to tune my guitar only for one song... i will do this when i will buy my second guitar this summer...

my jackson DXMG :D

Good pick! :thumb: And I never really bother to learn anything below CGCFAD; I don't want to tune any lower, really.

hahaha. lols @ floyd rose

That keeps you from changing tunings really.

Thus why my Ibanez pwns.

Nepenthe 04-21-2006 04:43 PM

I hate Floyd Rose. It's an absolute chore changing strings. I never touch my Jackson DKMG.

repcak 04-21-2006 04:47 PM

@FuryInArt: do you have the Jackson DXMG?

@I'm Charming: what guitar do you play?

@IAmTheBlackWizard: it depends if you know how to change... when you know how, it takes you not longe than 10-15min to change the tune on a floyd rose

I got rid of my Jackson JS30DK. Got the Ibanez. Love it. Sounds way better overdrive & clear as well .

It's not the actual changing of the strings that's the problem. It's getting it back in tune and keeping it there after changing them that always gives me troubles.

repcak 04-21-2006 04:49 PM

as far as i know the Jackson JS30 is a very cheap guitar ....
It's not the actual changing of the strings that's the problem. It's getting it back in tune and keeping it there after changing them that always gives me troubles.
how i said. it depends if you do it right. i never had a guitar with a FR, so i can't tell you, but i know it from other guitarists and they don't have this problem. try to google how to change strings on a floyd rose ...

I'm Charming 04-21-2006 04:50 PM

No. Not really. It plays great & sounds great. FR is just a bitch.

MRDuCran 04-21-2006 04:51 PM

:D /can put Floyd Rose guitar in any tuning in under 2mins.

Todays it's been in

EADGBE
DGCFAD
DADGBE

later, it'll be in

Drop A.

Shadows 04-21-2006 04:51 PM

Tuning takes a long time with a FL, but it's worth it. Once you get it tuned and locked it never goes out of tune. I love my Jacksons.

Wow, you're a real badass.

Sleepy 04-21-2006 04:52 PM
@FuryInArt: do you have the Jackson DXMG?
Nope, I decided to go with a Schecter instead, because I thought it was more versatile. I played around with the DXMG for a long time at the local guitar store, though, and the only reason I didn't buy it is because it's only good for metal. I play Metal, Rock, Alternative, Jazz, and the like, so I needed something that could bridge genres well.

Jacksons are pure excellence if all you're going to playing is metal, though.

EDIT: Mine was Dark Blue ish though.
That's what I had.

To Wizard: I have an Ibanez RG Series now and I love it.

Shadows 04-21-2006 04:57 PM

That's probably the cheapest guitar Jackson makes.

I've seen many cheaper actually.

I've seen several models within the 99-150 range.
