So is anyone else gonna go see Amon Amarth on their tour, I'm so there because if they play anything like they did on their DVD it will be amazing.

HUNG
DRAWN AND QUARTERED |
That's how the internet labels them, I don't know..
EDIT: thers a typ ther dragon |
no, there isn't. English isn't even your first language, and you don't even know the difference between "verge" and "vein". **** off.
|
The conjugation is hanged, not hung.
And I know you are referencing the what-the-fuck-ever quote, I was just kidding, you know? |
first off, I don't give a flying **** about the conjugation, the song I was listening to when I wrote that was "Hung, Drawn, and Quartered", and the common saying is the same.
Furthermore you were not joking, I'll go find the post and edit it in. http://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/showpost.php?p=14957019&postcount=1426 |
Yes, I know. I imagined, and hence the sentence directed at you is written poorly. Even I call you "dragon". Do you see there?
I was kidding, Dargon. I think you and I need to stop the whole senseless idiocy (especially me), since I think I've finally understood why you are jealous of your knowledge and I've come to accept it. Like, I'm calling peace here. From my behalf, at least. You can continue trolling mi lack of taste anytime you want. :) And yes, I know what I mean to say. The word "verge" also means "border on; coming close to", so by "In teh verge of blah blah blah", I meant "coming close to, resembling blah blah blah". |
ok truce accepted, but if you babble off any more kiddie **** like "LOL DISGORGE IS OLDSCHOOL DEATH METAL" you can only expect to be destroyed.
you would say "in the vein of" not "in the verge of". |
Alright, I will moderate my typing from now on.
|
I'm going to a Nile concert on the 22nd with Cthonic and Daath.
The only two bands I was ever in that I really enjoyed featured that type of riffing as well as some more standard death stuff, and that's about it, plus breakdowns. :p
I don't actually see anything wrong with it, I just think much more could be done, and yeah, I wasn't saying that it's the only kind of melody that's appealing/pretty, I'm saying most guitarists these days, especially one's I've done vocals for, seem to think that those patterns are the only form of melodies that can be written. Again, you're bringing up a good point, but a lot of guitarists don't know much music past modern music, and they don't know enough about songwriting to structure something like that. Yep.
Thanks alot I got ya now. Good post ;) Yeah, they can be great but thats the point I was trying to make which you just said. "guitarists these days, especially one's I've done vocals for, seem to think that those patterns are the only form of melodies that can be written." THey can be great patterns but the bands that often write good ones over do them haha imo. But I have deicided I like Quo Vadis. A Metal band to me that writes excellent melodies is Spawn of Possesion. And Demilich which I heard the first time a few weeks back writes brillant melodies also. And Trails of Anguish haha. I wish I could get a band :upset: Then I would be insipred to actually write properly. |

Are those 2 bands touring with them everywhere? |
They're all on shitfest, so yes.
|
Hmm, I might go see Nile later since Ozzfest was yesterday in Washington, I thought he meant those bands were touring with them outside of Ozzfest.
|
It could be an off date.
|
Yeah, I think those 3 are doing a couple off dates together.
|
It's an off date not Ozzfest.
|
...but those bands are also on Ozzfest.
|

Hahahahahaha. |
this wiggerbabble is endlessly amusing
Hahahaha, yes. I had to read the post like 10 times to see if he was serious about the thrash thing. |
Dargon is correct by saying 'hung'.

Sitting in a basement hearing the kids record essentially the same riff repeatedly for hours straight. I liked the music until we tried recording, and then we all got sick of it and called it quits (that and the one guitarists girlfriend hanged herself).
But I have deicided I like Quo Vadis. Hacksaw To The Throat writes some pretty interesting melodies, though they still have a lot of genericism to grow out of, but I see that coming with their progression.
I wish I could get a band :upset: Then I would be insipred to actually write properly.
Your telling me dude. I've had three projects fail on me this past year because of lack of skill/motivation in songwriting. |
Hacksaw To The Throat writes some pretty bland and generic brutal death metal mixed with unspeakably awful wrist-slitting emocore garbage
fix'd |
Dargon is correct by saying 'hung'.
Wotan: do you still want the Tourniquet album? NP: Death - Baptized in Blood.
Which Tourniquet album is it? I'd take it if you wouldn't mind sharing. |

Never heard Hacksaw but maybe I should later ;) I uploaded Trails of Anguish in the Daily Upload. Yeah I just love Spawn of Possesion. Although the whole "brutal" thing has worn off me kinda their massive classical influence and songwriting skill keeps me entertained. Yikes about your last band haha! Mabye I should just record by myself but thats just so difflcult! Okay fellas, I will be off the Radar for a week because I am going down to the coast (in winter haha) with some mates to fish and drink beer etc. bye |
NP: Death - Baptized in Blood
Mutilation! Mutilation! MUTILATIOOOOOON! |
Hacksaw To The Throat sucks balls.
|
Hacksaw Jim Duggan
|
Tyler, stfu, or like, knives or some ****.
Hacksaw To The Throat sucks balls.
I'm sorry, but you have to be kidding me. |
He seems very serious about it.
Do you see his black avatar? That is sometimes related to seriousness. |
You aren't funny.
|
Soooooo..... whats the best death band out right now? In your own opinion and why.
|
I only listen to old school death metal and brit pop at the moment.
I kind of liked what I heard of Twilight. But then again they released an album 2 years ago. |
