If you want to repost it here, I won't close it. We've already had MXican's and Riva's threads which are quite similar (and Paranoidd's a while ago), and people seem to be getting the idea. Like I say, I won't object if you do though :)

One change, though; don't imply that they shouldn't make this kind of introduction to a band if they can't/don't provide audio. Samples of the band are nice, but we shouldn't say they're compulsory.

Eh, no, that's why I'm asking because unlike other forums we have had some good threads here, so I was thinking it might overkill it, but I thought I'd throw it out in case you thought it added anything theirs didn't cover, but of course theirs inspired mine :)

I suppose it isn't compulsory, but I think it cannot be emphasized enough how helpful it is :)

I want to play basketball.

I just got a call from my baseball team that I play in the summers for. Practice starts the Sunday I get home :cool:

What position do you play AH?

Catcher, primarily... except this is more of a laid-back league, so people will be going all over the place... but since I was essentially the only player drafted whose first position is catcher, odds are that I'll be catching a majority of the innings each game.

It's just such a powerful position, because you own the field. You dictate what the pitcher throws and where he throws it, and if he doesn't hit his spot then it's his fault, basically :p

You can gun down stealers, you make calls to cut-offs, you take collisions at the plate... it's a glorious position and a hell of a lot of fun.

So I had little bit of respect for my roommate's music tastes. No longer. We's watching TRL. I'm outta here :(

I was a starting pitcher in high school.

All the stereotypes that pitchers are whiny, lazy, highly ideosynchratic, and selfish are all 100% true. The pitchers always slacked off the most when it came to running :lol:

also, there weren't many guys on our team, so a lot of pitchers bounced around and played other positions when they weren't pitching...I played right field. AH can talk about how great catching is (WTF? Sounds like a lot of painful, grueling work to me), but I loved the outfield. Running down fly balls, leaping up to make catches, gunning out runners at third and home...it's a beautiful thing. And pitching is an art form of its own. God I love baseball.

We should do a thread like they are doing in Pop-punk, where they are drawing album covers and people try and guess them.

And pitching truly is something else. I can't even properly explain it. It requires creativity and intelligence, but you can't think at all. It's so impulsive. I never thought about the pitches I threw; I just chose them instinctively. I dunno, I can't explain it.
