BludgeonySteve 07-09-2004 08:32 PM

rocknotroll 07-10-2004 03:28 PM

**** oh wait it did :(

BludgeonySteve 07-12-2004 01:20 PM

 This thread=teh deadzorz.

Badmoon 07-12-2004 01:30 PM

Maybe we should reinvent ourselves. But keep it in this thread.

So, anybody got any CD's they're looking forward to buying.

Gov't Mule - Deep End Vol. 2

that's mine.

Veteran of the psychic wars 07-12-2004 01:32 PM

I have a huge list of CD's to buy, only ones I can think of, off the top of my head are ZZ Top - Rio grande mud, tres hombres, and deguello.

Dark Hero 07-12-2004 01:55 PM

BludgeonySteve 07-12-2004 02:15 PM

I just go to a used music store and look around. When I find something I want I buy it. I'm currently looking for more stuf from Steve Miller band.

Lee Harvey Castro 07-12-2004 02:19 PM
yeah. not as long as it might be ;) If I had actually posted in the pr0n thread.

**** oh wait it did :(
which one? there's usually about 50 sexually explicit threads within the first three pages of The Pit

BludgeonySteve 07-12-2004 02:21 PM

No the one in the guitar forum with the chick with the dick. I posted in it. I get my acount back tomorrow.

Now no more talking to me for an hour unless it's about the Steve Miller Band.

Badmoon 07-12-2004 02:33 PM

Where closing in on page 70!

When that occurs, we hold a Classic Rock Thread Festival.

BludgeonySteve 07-12-2004 09:34 PM

Ooo. But it will be hard to keep this thread alive. there are like 80 threads a day in R&M. Hey lets do classic rock abcs! One time through :thumb:

I will start

April Wine (I didn't want to go with the obvious choice of AC/DC).

The Esoteric 07-12-2004 10:10 PM

Blue Öyster Cult

RockAndRoll 07-12-2004 10:19 PM

Cream

I have so many CD's I need, I mostly mooch off others, Top priority for me right now though is beatles and The Guess Who/BTO.

magicbus 07-12-2004 10:24 PM

Man I was gonna say Boston, who I'm looking forward to in concert, but oh well.

The Doors, or Duane Allman maybe?

Speaking of concerts, I guess I should add that Van Halen was awesome and Eddie is a god.

The Esoteric 07-12-2004 10:41 PM

Elvis Costello. I'm seeing Creedence Clearwater at Ravinia soon. I can't wait. I was supposed to see The Doors, Tesla, Blue Öyster Cult, and ZZ Top, but couldn't. That sucked.

Badmoon 07-12-2004 10:44 PM

^Skipped, doesn't count.

The Eagles

The Esoteric 07-12-2004 10:54 PM

Why exactly does that not count?

Oh nevermind I just realized why.

Wattyboy88 07-12-2004 11:11 PM

I drum and write in a band right now and we're all about classic rock. We definetly have that Rock 'n' Roll sound and things are going pretty good for us now, I hope to have some of our songs that we recorded on the web soon so u can all check it out, tell us how it sounds to u. Were kinda young I guess but we've all been playin our instruments for a while and i'm not gonna lie, we rip, especially live gigs. Were HEAVILY inspired by Zeppelin, Black Sabbath who I can't belive none of u posed for favourite bands, with out Sabbath you would not be listening to your heavy metal sha-nan-a-gins lol. The Who and our guitar player loves The Doobie Brothers. So I'll post a song up once we get it copywrited ASAP

Badmoon 07-12-2004 11:13 PM
with out Sabbath you would not be listening to your heavy metal sha-nan-a-gins lol
Well, I'm fine with that :p

RockAndRoll 07-13-2004 11:19 AM
Well, I'm fine with that :p
As am I. :p
Anyways I'm looking forward to hearing your stuff, I wish I could put the song my band is writing/wrote up.

Badmoon 07-13-2004 11:56 AM

ATTENION: I have a new review in the CD review board.

Nshah90 07-13-2004 01:08 PM

I am looking forward to buy a The Doors album... any suggestions as to a first album to buy besides a greatest hits?

Badmoon 07-13-2004 01:27 PM

^S/t

I like Morrison Hotel

BludgeonySteve 07-13-2004 02:07 PM
I am looking forward to buy a The Doors album... any suggestions as to a first album to buy besides a greatest hits?
I just have the best off the doors 2 disk set (most recent one). It has all of their best songs but i'd really like some other albums so I could hear more songs.

Umm I guess the classic rock abcs thing is dead :( unless...

Fleetwood Mac.

Badmoon 07-13-2004 02:10 PM

Today I bought...

The String Cheese Incident - Born on the Wrong Planet (Fabulous album and jam band, they perfected Bluegrass)

and

Bad Brains - S/t

BludgeonySteve 07-13-2004 02:17 PM

^ Good name.

btw i'm unbanneded :)

Lee Harvey Castro 07-13-2004 02:18 PM

I know this doesn't quite fit in the Classic rock ideals but seeing as it's classic music and stems from rock 'n' roll, who here like myself is a big fan of Motown soul?

Badmoon 07-13-2004 02:20 PM

I like Otis Redding, kind of. But he's just Soul, not Motown

BludgeonySteve 07-13-2004 03:24 PM

Motown is the root of popular music. It has played a huge roll in the history of music, and classic rock would not be the same without it. Motown will always be welcome in this thread :)

RockAndRoll 07-13-2004 07:42 PM

Genesis.

Soft parade and strange Days are good albums, strange days is probably better for a first album though.

Badmoon 07-13-2004 07:50 PM

Any of you have Free - Fire and Water?

I can't find that anywhere.

RockAndRoll 07-14-2004 10:41 AM

does the Hollies count?

BludgeonySteve 07-14-2004 01:39 PM

Let's just say it does.

Iron Maiden (close enough).
