Kayetan 11-15-2006 07:14 PM

Yeah, hurry.

Kyle 11-15-2006 07:14 PM

If I like the band enough, I have no problems watching them alone.

dei 11-15-2006 07:17 PM

I haven't been to a concert with another person in over a year. It's not that bad.

So can someone tell me how much a decent keyboard would cost me? I'm thinking about doing electronic music and need like to get started soon.

Kayetan 11-15-2006 07:21 PM

Get an actual synthesizer, not just a keyboard.

dei 11-15-2006 07:21 PM

Price?

Kayetan 11-15-2006 07:25 PM

Probably starting around $300.

dei 11-15-2006 07:29 PM

Now all I need is to learn a thing or two about synths. I'll just ask someone that works wherever I decide to get my stuff from. But that's a decent price. I can probably get something by the end of the month.

pixiesfanyo 11-15-2006 07:57 PM

lol @ thinking you can play electronic music without even knowing what a synth is.

Eliminator 11-15-2006 07:57 PM

Ask Zappa fauxreal

kayetan you should come here and see allt he gay bands

dei 11-15-2006 08:21 PM

I know what a synth is, lafoutlewd. I don't know a thing about brands, tho.

ATM 11-15-2006 08:23 PM

A Yamaha S03 might be what you are looking for.

ATM 11-15-2006 09:57 PM

Eliminator 11-15-2006 09:59 PM

Kayetan 11-15-2006 10:00 PM

Serious?

Zmev 11-15-2006 11:34 PM

no, fo' real

dei 11-15-2006 11:42 PM

Truth. It doesn't sound too expensive. Maybe I can get it for Christmas.

JonM 11-16-2006 10:17 AM

John Scofield, John Medeski, and Chris Wood are geniuses. Billy Martin is a stoner that is good at drums.

Kyle 11-16-2006 02:09 PM

Attn: DMD/Asymm

After having it on my computer for an age, I finally got around to giving Ocean Beach a proper listen yesterday and have fallen in love with it. As it's the only RHP/Mark Kozelek album I own, could you reccomend me a few more which I should be checking out?

StaticSynth 11-16-2006 02:40 PM

Get Red House Painters [1]. Great album.

Also, you should definitely get Ghosts of the Great Highway by Sun Kil Moon.

Kayetan 11-16-2006 06:23 PM

I always thought Songs for a Blue Guitar was very good, but I guess some people don't agree.

asymm 11-16-2006 06:36 PM

Yeah, next I'd suggest Red House Painters I and Down Colourful Hill. Both are perfectly captured moods put to music, really evocative material.

I'm sure DMD will use this opportunity to suggest Sun Kil Moon, but I still think that at least those three Red House Painters records are better than Ghosts of the Great Highway.

AndreTheHyena 11-17-2006 03:50 AM

The Hold Steady are so good.

Kyle 11-17-2006 01:08 PM

I'm Seeing Mr Scruff in 3 hours, gonna be so fun.

AlienEater 11-17-2006 01:27 PM

Cool. I won't see him when he's here, but cool nevertheless.

sweboy 11-17-2006 05:07 PM
