Greyspoke Variety

Greyspoke Variety Live at the Pinnacle's second set is now up on Archive.org, I highly recommend that you give it a listen, if you've never heard them play before simply listen to the first two songs of that set and you'll be hooked. Also, I should have a concert up from July that I haven't posted on here on YSI, and that should be up in a week's time. Not the greatest recording, but it does include the March of the Panda's which hasn't been on any other recordings.

KMidura 10-25-2005 08:08 PM

Newest Greyspoke show has been uploaded, and now just has to be approved by archive, should be downloadable at the latest by tommorow night, please give it a listen, and you shall not be disappointed.

Hot Buttered Rum String Band is out here Saturday, anyone seen them, I've heard of them, but never actually heard their stuff. How do they compare with Yonder? Anyway, any insight would be nice, thanks.

Broken Arrow 11-02-2005 03:06 PM

Haven't heard of them. ^ Triple Post.

GypsyTrane 11-03-2005 12:08 AM

jpj 11-03-2005 02:42 PM

I used to go to nugs all the time, but not so much anymore.

Broken Arrow 11-03-2005 03:42 PM

I used to visit nugs alot too. Last time I was there they had alot of downloads though, I got a Victo Wooten one.

Daniel! 11-03-2005 06:37 PM

Nugs is where it's at.

wanton 11-03-2005 07:40 PM

True. True.

They just had a very large update, also.

Daniel! 11-03-2005 08:24 PM

Holy crap that is a big update. Cool.

What's everyone's opinion on Bastardos!? I'm listening to "She and I" right now and it sounds more like Chicago than Blues Traveler. Kinda freakin' me out...

It's certainly different.

Attention everyone: If you have bought or plan on buying Trey Anastasio's Shine, do not copy it onto your computer. It contains that crazy spyware that Sony brilliantly put into their cd's. Just thought I'd let you know.

Jam2Me 11-17-2005 08:58 PM

I'm seeing Trey this Saturday. So many people from my school are going I'm shocked. I know people going just to hang out in the parking lot. It'll be a pretty solid show, hopefully.

insult masta 11-17-2005 10:10 PM

I'm new

My Fav Musicians:

Has anybody else seen the DMB live in Central Park? I thought the "Cortez the Killer" cover with Warren Haynes from Govt Mule was excellent! Anybody else think so?

I almost bought that yesterday, but I saw this big sticker on the back talking about illegal reproduction or something and it freaked me out.

But I want to know why no one like the Consumer Protection Agency has filed suit against Sony for basically invading their customer's privacy.

Speaking of Trey, here is his performance on the Conan O'Brian Show.

DSO friday the 25th

Anyone else going to see Dark Star Orchestra on Friday?

wanton 11-25-2005 11:10 PM

I think I'm going to get to go to Panic on December 31. :thumb:

On a different note: Little Feat rocks so much and doesn't get as much recognition as other 70s bands.

jpj 11-27-2005 07:45 PM

Phil Lesh on Tuesday :D

And yes, Little Feat is awesome.

Kaleidoscope Eyes 12-02-2005 08:24 AM

I freaked out a little when I saw post #1291

I saw someone from Little Feat a few years ago, in someones living room. I forget who, and I was really bored, but maybe somone remembers

Broken Arrow 12-02-2005 08:47 PM

Haha did you think some hacking was going down?

Xen 12-03-2005 02:09 AM

No mention of King Crimson is this thread? They're a great jam band when they play live. They'll improvise in the short breaks between parts like in 21st Century Schitzoid man and they'll play riffs in different and weird time signatures. Awesome live band.

Badmoon 12-03-2005 01:39 PM

King Crimson is not actually a "Jam Band".
