quit the spam, shorta$s, this isn't the community thread

can anyone play to live is to die? you never really realize how deep of a song that is until you learn how to play it or until someone close dies (then you get the poem)
What??? Who is shorta$s ???

And I hate To Live Is To Die..........9 minutes of earbleeding
(except middle solo)

I think he had a hand in writing a bit of it, probably one of the only things they let him contribute to

Oh, I see then. I thought it was adressed to me.

As usually, I lost my temper :upset:

Sanitarium welcome home. :thumb:

Lightning_Rider 03-23-2005 12:54 PM

My top 5 would probably be

1)Ride the Lightning
2)Master of Puppets
3)One
4)Fade to Black
5)Battery

Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets are pretty close to being tied I think. And I just picked Battery, I could have put a number of other songs too.

Leper 03-23-2005 01:06 PM

Wow, i finally got SKOM and watched it the other day, it's so we'll done!!!!

Lightning_Rider 03-23-2005 01:52 PM

Yeah I gotta watch that too

Rasta Rocker 03-23-2005 02:06 PM

Anyone see the ad for VH1 on April 9, they're playing a bunch of metal shows, and SKOM commercial free

Rattlehead 03-23-2005 02:10 PM

is ther any hints of the style of 'tallicas nu album in SKOM? is it goona b more anger style?

Rasta Rocker 03-23-2005 02:12 PM

I pray it isn't like st anger

Josh 03-23-2005 02:21 PM

as long as it has solos...

Stevie 03-23-2005 02:25 PM

Metallica changed with every release. There won't be another "St. Anger" or "Ride the Lightning" either.

Josh 03-23-2005 02:29 PM
Metallica changed with every release.
except Load / Reload

Rasta Rocker 03-23-2005 02:33 PM
Metallica changed with every release. There won't be another "St. Anger" or "Ride the Lightning" either.
Although they did change, the songs on the first four albums had a much "thrashier" sound to them. The songs were also more complex

Stevie 03-23-2005 02:34 PM

Aye, yes I know. Also, Load/re-load were both really the same album, on a double disk set released at separate dates...

Rasta Rocker 03-23-2005 02:37 PM

Just a question....did Metallica grow up on the sunset strip like a ton of 80's metal bands did?

Huber 03-23-2005 02:46 PM

San Francisco Bay Area I believe.

Rasta Rocker 03-23-2005 02:49 PM

sunset strip is in LA, but I think it is san fransisco

btoto 03-23-2005 02:56 PM

The new album will be called Re-Anger, featuing guests like Jay Z and J.Lo.

mwhaaaaa :D

I also want a second Kill em All this time named Metal Up Your A$$ ! Like James said in Metal Militia 1983.

But they probably won't produce anything as heavy as 80's if you're waiting for it. I think it will sound like the Black album.

*can feel the future* :D

Edit: They started in LA whole 1982 with Ron. But had to move to SF because Cliff insisted that he won't be playing in LA gay scene.

Huber 03-23-2005 03:09 PM

I wouldn't be disappointed with another Black Album.

Rasta Rocker 03-23-2005 03:11 PM
I wouldn't be disappointed with another Black Album.
i would...

Josh 03-23-2005 03:19 PM

i wouldnt mind if it was like the black album, as long as it wasnt exactly the same - variation between albums is essential

btoto 03-23-2005 03:23 PM

I wouldn't be disappointed with any Metallica album unless it has rapping in it.

Josh 03-23-2005 03:25 PM

Well it's been 20 years since a thrash album....and I'm ready...even though I'm not even 20 years old, I still want one

Josh 03-23-2005 03:33 PM

yeh...i have kill em all, ride the lightning, master of puppets, ...and justice for all, load, reload, and the earlier albums are by far the best

IAJP 03-23-2005 03:41 PM

Load was dissapointing.
Re-load was...meh.
