My car \m/
What kind of car is that?

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y242/Josh_the_Riffer/IMG_0329.jpg

That's my car, and 1989 Ford Escort \m/. Not pretty by any means but it gets me from point A to point B, occasionally point C if I'm feeling adventurous.

Illmatic 06-28-2005 09:41 PM

Oh my goodness...it was such a great night until the 9th inning.

Me and my stepdad were having such a great time, and then Keith Foulke completely blew it...oh my god, after the Sox rallied for five runs in the sixth everyone was so happy. Who knew by the end of the game that my stepdad would turn to me completely down and ask, "If we traded Foulkie for Bob Stanley right now, would anyone tell the difference?"

UGH.

Not good times. Bad times.

We really did have a good time, and I'm glad I brought him, but GOD DAMMIT FOULKE.

My car is probably there somewhere.

I think it's valued at 500 now.

Steerpike 06-28-2005 09:46 PM
Guys, Dawn of the Dead is officially amazing. I loved it so much more than the remake. It was a lot scarier as well. Very satirical, very post-apocalyptic, and all-around awesome. And the gore effects! Oh, man, were they good!

The pinkish blood was a little bit of a turnoff, though. Blood tends to look more purple when it thickens all in one place.
What did I tell you? Romero is an incredible horror film director.

Have you seen Land of the Dead yet?

Nice car, is that your house behind it?

I would have gone for a YZ instead of a TT-R, but it's your bike.

Go Indians!

You have to admit they are one of the hottest teams in baseball right now. They are my second favorite team. Behind the Yanks. Wickman is playing amazing.

No, that is not my house heh, just a picture of the car similar to what I have.

And YZ's are freakin' motocross bikes, I ride trails.

Bobo- Your car is sweeet. (I know that pic isn't yours, but still, Celicas own) It would be in my top 5 list cars that I could actually afford for sure. I'd be too tempted to drift the hell out of it though.

"Hottest"? Bullcrap, the Sox blew right by them last week. The Indians got lucky that the Sox had to put in Foulke and that Wickman got to face Payton-Mueller-Bellhorn in the bottom half.

My dad had a 490 YZ back in the day though, he said it was one hell of a bike.

I might get into motocross/racing in a few years, but for now I will stick to trail riding.

Still, the TT-R's are made with a YZ frame and are a hell of alot cheaper then them heh.

My cousin has a massive CR 500. I don't know what one would do with a bike that big though.

BoboTheRagingHobo 06-28-2005 10:03 PM

My dad just bought a Honda XR 600 from 1985, powerful bike heh.

Still a trail bike, or more desert as well but still has the get up and go on it for being old.

To bad it has such a heavy frame though, big downside to an older bike.

Speaking of wagons, today I saw this wicked shirt. It had a wagon just like that one on the shirt, and below it it said LAND YACHT.

It reminded me of the old commie thread, then I refled. I also saw a shirt that said Wellhung Packaging Co.

I'm sure you could easily get 500 hp out of an old wagon like that. I'm not sure what make it is, but back then when gas prices weren't an issue, auto makers would just dump as big of an engine as they could fit under hood. :p

lunch998 06-28-2005 10:34 PM

I know a guy who works there (well I met him there because of the CDs I was buying and since then we talk about music everytime I see him, he's a classic rock fan). He said that pay wasn't great, but the discounts made it worth it.

By the way, did you ever listen to Tommy the whole way through?

Careful, Jake. She might stick her Good Charlotte-listening boyfriend on you.

YDload 06-28-2005 10:48 PM

Taco Bell is one of the few places around my area that hires 15 year olds. That's why all their food is poorly assembled and rarely to customer specifications. I mean, I know they only have like five different ingredients on their entire menu, but what if someone's allergic to cheese and you give them cheese anyway hmm???

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-28-2005 10:49 PM

Taco Bell is a great American twist on Mexican food. I love it. Plus, they're the only place with Mountain Dew Baja Blast. (it's owns)

A couple nights ago, my mom ordered carry out from this place called El Valle. It's not the most authentic place around, but it's good food. I got some Chile Colorado, and put it in corn tortillas. It was awesome. I had it for lunch the next day as well.

Leftovers are also a great American meal. :p

Chris- Wait..Are you saying this is bad because A) He would make me listen to Good Charlotte or B) He would kick my ass?

Read thread title please.

Besides, it's true :p

Leftovers are a good meal, but it depends on what it is, some meals are best with hot/cold contrasts in them...and you can't do leftovers like that very well.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-28-2005 10:54 PM

Then there is the rare occasion where food gets better with age.

Crepes anyone!! Ohhh I love those. For those of you who don't know what crepes are, they're like extremely skinny pancakes.

In other news, today I had a crumpet with peanut butter.
